Eagles vs Rams Predictions and Picks for SNF Week 12

Jalen Hurts has been a better bet to run one in than most running backs in the NFL since the Eagles' early-season bye, and Josh Inglis' SNF betting picks believe he'll break the plane once more vs. the Rams.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams enter Sunday Night Football 9-1 SU combined over their last five games with the visitors, 3-point favorites, vying for the top spot in the NFC. The Rams are sitting eighth in the conference but one game out of the NFC West lead.

Even with DeVonta Smith questionable for the prime time game, my Eagles vs. Rams predictions believe Jalen Hurts can get things done himself with nine TDs over the Eagles’ six-game winning streak. One more on Sunday night is looking very profitable, as I explain in my NFL picks for November 24.

Eagles vs Rams SNF prediction

Who will win Eagles vs Rams?

There’s a case to say that the Eagles have the No. 1 offense in football right now. Since Week 3, it’s been a Top-3 defense in success rate and EPA/play. They’ve also won six straight games since A.J. Brown has returned to the lineup. There are not a lot of holes in their game and this Week 12 spread seems very similar to Week 11’s, where they knocked off the Commanders as a 3.5-point road dog.

There is excitement with the Rams but their 4-1 SU record over the last five games came against the Patriots, Seahawks, Vikings on a short week, and Raiders.

Philly ranks 11th in RZ score percentage with the Rams ranking 25th, while the Eagles’ RZ defense is one of the best in football at 40%.

There are some -2.5s out there but they are expensive. I lean on the Eagles here but I like the -3 better at even money as I’ll only pay decent tax on the 3 to 3.5 move.

My best bet
Jalen Hurts anytime TD (-110 at bet365)

My analysis

As of Friday, DeVonta Smith has yet to practice this week, which likely isn’t good for his attendance on Sunday night. That’s just fine for the Philadelphia Eagles as this run game and A.J. Brown can handle the rest for an offense averaging 29 points per game since Brown’s return following the bye.

Jalen Hurts has been solely responsible for nine of the team’s 21 TDs over this six-game heater. No running back has more rushing TDs since Week 6 than the Philly signal caller, who is still a very reasonable -110 at bet365 to score a TD.

The rest of the market is as low as -160 for the QB, who has scored in five straight games and seven of 10 on the season. I don’t even need Hurts to have a big game rushing the ball. His red-zone role is massive with 22 RZ carries for nine TDs since Week 6 with just one game of 60+ yards rushing. Those 22 carries inside the 20-yard line would rank Hurts behind only Joe Mixon and Derrick Henry since Week 6.

This is a prop I’m buying for -135 and if it gets any more expensive, I might add the Philadelphia moneyline to it. Currently, that pairing is +165 at bet365. This offense will move the ball even without Smith and Hurts will finish off the drives, as he has been doing since the beginning of October.

Eagles vs Rams SNF same-game parlay

Jalen Hurts anytime TD

Puka Nacua 70+ receiving yards

Cooper Kupp 70+ receiving yards

Let’s add the focal points of the Los Angeles Rams offense to the Hurts TD and use the new bet365 milestone totals that are now in increments of 10 yards as opposed to 25 yards.

Both Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua project for 70+ yards from THE BLITZ and since the duo have returned, they are gobbling up 55% of the targets and 64% of the air yards. Nacua has yet to be held to under 98 yards in his three full games while Kupp has gone for 104, 80, and 106 yards since coming back.

I think this SGP can hit in any game script this Sunday night.

Eagles vs Rams spread and Over/Under analysis

  • The total was 47.5 on the lookahead but immediately took money Sunday night, pushing the number as high as 51 Monday morning before getting bet back down to 49 by Tuesday. DeVonta Smith not playing might move this total down a half-point at most.
  • The spread was 2.5 on the lookahead but re-opened at 3, where it has stayed all week. It has hit 2.5 in some spots but the resistance has pushed it back to 3 quickly.
  • Philadelphia was in a similar spot last week on a short turnaround vs. the Commanders as a 4-point road favorite last Thursday. The Eagles turned a two-point fourth-quarter lead into a 26-10 advantage quickly and have the extra time to prepare for Week 12.
  • The Rams are 2-4 ATS as a dog this year and 1-3 ATS as a dog of 3+ points. Philadelphia is 4-4 ATS as a favorite and 3-3 ATS as a favorite of 3+ points.
