Giants vs Steelers Picks for Anytime Touchdown Prop: Undervalued Wilson Finds Paydirt

Russell Wilson may not be in his scrambling prime anymore, but he's more capable of finding the end zone than his +500 anytime touchdown price suggests. He highlights our MNF TD picks below.

Monday Night Football’s matchup between the New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers has the shortest total of the entire Week 9 slate — and that’s saying something because the Panthers and Broncos played each other yesterday.

As such, just two players are priced below 2/1 to score in our Giants vs Steelers picks — Najee Harris at +105 and George Pickens at +190 – while every other player is paying out +220 at the very least.

So, while we may not get many tuddies on MNF, if anyone outside of those two Steelers’ skill players cracks the end zone, you’re looking at a nice way to start your wagering week.

I run down those NFL player props for Monday Night Football and give my Giants vs. Steelers predictions and NFL picks for October 28 below.

New York Giants RB1 Devin Singletary returned from injury last week, but head coach Brian Daboll couldn’t commit to Singletary as the lead back when talking to reporters ahead of tonight's game.

Daboll was asked if Singletary would see an increase in workload after being eased back into action with only five carries in the loss to Philadelphia in Week 7. The Giants coach said all three backs would play and “based on how the game’s going, we’ll see who has more of a role, less of a role.”

That has me leaning toward RB2 Tyrone Tracy Jr. and his anytime touchdown price of +330.

He’s played well in his increased role. On the season, the rookie has carried the ball 53 times for an average of 4.4 yards per attempt while also reeling in 14 of 17 passes his way for an additional 108 yards through the air.

Tracy logged 67% of snaps to Singletary’s 21% in Week 7. Tracy got just six carries with New York going pass-heavy in the blowout loss to Philadelphia (ran just 32.73% of snaps) but was targeted three times in the passing game, while Singletary only saw one pass his way.

With the Giants missing bodies to an already-suspect pass protection, Daniel Jones will be looking for a quick hit to relieve the pressure Pittsburgh will bring. The Steelers have given up the fifth-most receiving yards to running backs this season.

Player projections for Tracy range from 0.2 to 0.29 touchdowns tonight, but he could continue to get the majority of snaps and has proven a viable option in the short pass game.

Russell Wilson found the end zone in his first start for the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, sneaking one in on a QB keeper just inches before the goal line.

Not only is Wilson willing to take that punishment on sneaks, but with QB2 Justin Fields out with a hamstring injury, the risk of Wilson losing red-zone snaps to a special Fields package is gone.

Pittsburgh faces an underrated Giants defense. New York has been especially stingy in the red zone, at least until last week. The G-Men entered Week 7 allowing touchdowns on less than 42% of their opponents’ RZ series, but Philly’s tush push got Jalen Hurts in twice along with a three-yard TD run from Saquon Barkley.

New York has allowed three total TDs to quarterbacks this season and has given up the sixth-most rushing yards to the position, including a 47-yard TD run from Joe Burrow in Week 6.

Wilson’s wheels aren’t what they used to be, but with the G-Men tightening their belt inside their own 20-yard line and bringing solid pass pressure (ninth-highest pressure rate), DangerRuss could be forced to tuck and run toward the end zone.

Wilson’s player projections range from 0.1 to 0.2 rushing touchdowns in Week 8, which goes hand-in-hand with this touchdown anytime price of +500.
