The Seattle Seahawks will be looking to keep their playoff hopes alive when they visit the Chicago Bears for a Week 17 matchup tonight.

My Seahawks vs. Bears predictions are eyeing Jaxon Smith-Njigba to light up the Chicago pass defense as he continues to solidify himself as one of the best young receivers in the NFL.

Below, we’ll dive into my moneyline, spread, and Over/Under best bets. Keep reading for my NFL picks.

Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET from Soldier Field in Chicago, with the game airing on Prime Video.

Seahawks vs Bears TNF prediction

Seahawks vs Bears spread

Seattle is just 6-8-1 against the spread this season, which isn’t great by any means. However, the Bears have lost nine in a row, and this game means a lot more to the Seahawks than it does to Chicago.

Seattle has covered the 3.5-point spread in all but one of their eight wins in 2024. I really don’t see any issues with them beating the struggling Bears by one possession, at the very least.

Seahawks vs Bears moneyline

The Seahawks have only been a road moneyline favorite once in 2024, but they won that game. Also, Seattle plays a mile better away from Lumen Field. Mike MacDonald’s squad has gone 3-6 on home soil and 5-1 on the road. That’s even more reason to take the Seahawks as a steep -200 favorite on Thursday.

Seahawks vs Bears Over/Under

While neither of these teams is great offensively, the total is set rather low at 43.5. Seattle has hit the Over in three of their last four games, while Chicago has cashed the Over in total points in two of their last three contests, more so because they’re such a mess on both sides of the ball.

The Over is also 7-3 across Chicago's last 10 home games.

My best bet
Jaxon Smith-Njigba Over 70.5 receiving yards (-113 at FanDuel)

My analysis
Jaxon Smith-Njigba has emerged as the star of the Seattle Seahawks’ WR room, leading the team with 93 receptions for 1,089 yards and six touchdowns. I don’t think anyone could’ve predicted he’d be more productive than DK Metcalf, but here we are.

This bet is also an absolute no-brainer. The former Ohio State standout has hit the Over in receiving yards in eight straight appearances. During that span, he’s surpassed the 100-yard mark twice and also finished with 95 yards in Week 16 against the Vikings.

Win or lose, JSN is always Geno Smith’s favorite target. He’s averaging 11.7 yards per catch and 72.6 yards per game this season. The Chicago Bears rank 23rd in pass defense and will have their hands full containing the second-year wideout.

Seahawks vs Bears TNF same-game parlay (SGP)

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Over 70.5 receiving yards

Seahawks -3.5

D'Andre Swift Under 58.5 rushing yards

As I discussed above, the Seahawks typically have no problems covering such a small spread. Also, Chicago has lost by more than three points in five of their nine losses in this current cold skid.

Again, there's no shortage of motivation for Seattle, who always show up and show out on the road. They will cover.

Bears running back D’Andre Swift has been struggling immensely over the last month. He’s hit the Under in rushing yards in four of his last five appearances. Swift finished with a mere 20 yards on the ground against the Lions last weekend.

While his yards per carry still sit at 3.8, Swift is simply not running the football well right now. Plus, the Seahawks have a respectable run defense, ranking 18th in the league. Swift is averaging 45.7 yards per carry in December.
