The Vegas Golden Knights and the Winnipeg Jets continue their Western Conference Quarterfinals series in Game 4 on Monday evening at Canada Life Centre.

The Golden Knights outlasted the Jets in Game 3 on Saturday, winning in double overtime by a 5-4 count. The Jets won 5-1 in Game 1, but Winnipeg has dropped the past two games by a combined score of 10-6.

Vegas leads the best-of-seven series by a 2-1 margin, while maintaining home-ice advantage. Will the Knights be able to win again on the road, pushing Winnipeg to the brink of elimination, or will the Jets be able to square the series at 2-2 before heading back to Nevada? We’ll discuss in our NHL picks and predictions for Golden Knights vs. Jets on Monday, April 24.

Golden Knights vs Jets Game 4 predictions

Both of these teams have scored 11 goals apiece in this series, but it is the Golden Knights who have managed to grab the series lead after a marathon session in Game 3.

It was a wild game Saturday, as Chandler Stephenson and Jack Eichel scored two quick goals in the first 6:18 of the first period to get Vegas a 2-0 lead. However, Kyle Connor helped the home crowd erupt with a goal, slicing the lead to 2-1 after the first period.

Eichel was back with another PPG, and then Keegan Kolesar notched a goal, before an epic stare-down with a fan, making it 4-1 in favor of the visitors. The Jets scored three in the third, including a goal by Adam Lowry with the extra attacker, forcing overtime. Winnipeg couldn’t get over the hump, though, as Michael Amadio was the unlikely playoff hero with the winner in double overtime.

Laurent Brossoit hadn’t won a playoff start in the NHL until Game 2, and now he has consecutive postseason victories against his former organization.

Meanwhile, Connor Hellebuyck has coughed up five goals in each of his past two outings. While the goaltending situation for Vegas looked to be uncertain, with Winnipeg holding the supposed advantage heading into the series, it appears to be the opposite lately.

Vegas has four players with two or more goals, and the Golden Knights are playing with a ton of confidence at the offensive end. Continue backing the visitors, as the Golden Knights have won five of the past six meetings overall with the Jets. The Jets are just 1-4 in their past five in the Conference Quarterfinals round, too.

It could be another higher-scoring affair, but the results will be the same, with the Golden Knights pushing the Jets to the brink.

Golden Knights vs Jets Game 4 moneyline analysis

The Golden Knights have racked up consecutive victories, scoring five goals in each of the two wins. Eichel waited a long time to make his postseason debut, and he was horrid in Game 1. However, he has three goals and four points in the past two games.

Vegas has won six times in the past eight tries in the Conference Quarterfinals round, while going an impressive 10-3 in the past 13 games on the road. They’re also 41-18 in the past 59 games when playing on a day of rest, too.

For the Jets, while they have won five of the past seven games at Canada Life Centre, it lost in Game 3 at home in double overtime. And Winnipeg is just 6-20 in the past 26 games against teams with a winning percentage over .600.

Winnipeg has the offensive tools to hang with Vegas, but the defense and goaltending have been shaky, at best. Look for Vegas to grab another road win, and take a commanding 3-1 series lead back to the Strip.

Golden Knights vs Jets Game 4 Over/Under analysis

The Over has cashed in all three games in this series so far, as we have had a total of 22 goals, or an average of 7.3 goals per game during this series.

The Over is 4-0 in the previous four meetings overall between these teams, and 4-0 in the past four for Vegas in the Conference Quarterfinals round.

For the Jets, the Under is 31-15-4 in the past 50 at home, although it cashed the Over with nine total goals in Game 3, the only home game in this series so far. The Over is also 4-0-1 in the Jets’ past five games against teams with a winning percentage over .600.

Defense and goaltending have let Winnipeg down. Their penalty kill has struggled, particularly when trying to hold down Eichel, who is relishing his first NHL postseason action. Look for a higher-scoring game, combining the Over with Vegas on the moneyline for a solid parlay wager.
