The Edmonton Oilers look to get back into the win column tonight when they head to UBS Arena to take on the New York Islanders.

My Oilers analysis
The Edmonton Oilers have cooled off since returning from the 4 Nations Face-Off with just three wins in their last 10 games, but Leon Draisaitl has remained red hot.
The NHL’s leading goal scorer carries a career-high 16-game point streak into tonight’s contest against the New York Islanders, and I’ll be looking for him to extend his run with a power play point.
Draisaitl leads the NHL with 15 power-play goals and is tied for fifth among all skaters with 30 power-play points.
The Oilers star has recorded a point on the man advantage in four of his last six games and should be able to take advantage of a weak Islanders penalty kill.
The Islanders own the league’s second-worst penalty kill at just 70.5% and have allowed five power-play goals in their last four contests.
At the other end of the rink, the high-powered Oilers own the league’s fifth-best power play (26.4%) and have converted on the man advantage at least once in nine of their last 13 outings.

While Draisaitl carries a lengthy point streak into tonight’s game with a goal in 10 of his last 13 contests, Evan Bouchard has also been highly productive from the backend.
The Oilers defenseman has found the score sheet in six straight games and has been a mainstay on the team’s power play, with four power-play points over that span.
Both clubs have also played some low-scoring hockey of late, with New York finishing Under 6.5 in five straight and seven of its last eight, thanks to its 28th-ranked offense (2.69 gpg).
Edmonton has also stayed Under 6.5 in three of its last four contests.
