My Canucks analysis
Conor Garland is having a a solid campaign for the Vancouver Canucks, who have just narrowly missed out on the playoffs. The winger has scored 19 goals and tallied 30 assists in 79 appearances. We’ll focus on his playmaking tonight at home.
The 29-year-old has cashed the Over in helpers in two of his last three games. In fact, he had three assists in the epic comeback victory over the Dallas Stars last week. When it comes to facing the San Jose Sharks, Garland has consistently been in on the action.
He has three helpers in three contests against them in 2024-25. Garland also had three assists versus San Jose last season. The Sharks are, of course, one of the worst teams in the league as well.
Garland has four helpers in six games this month, and I expect him to keep it rolling. He’ll be busy tonight and play his part in helping Vancouver grab a victory.
Canucks vs Sharks odds analysis
The Canucks opened as a -300 favorite and the line hasn’t moved much since. They’re now sitting at -294 on the moneyline at Pinnacle, while San Jose’s odds have hovered around the +250 mark.
These odds do stand to reason, considering Vancouver has won four straight against the Sharks and 15 of the last 16.
As for the total, it’s remained at 6 with Over around +100 at Under around -110. The Over historically offers the most value here as it’s been cashed in six of the last eight meetings between the two teams.
Neither team has much left to play for, so we could potentially see another high-scoring affair.
