The New York Rangers made some noise yesterday as they traded for forward Vladimir Tarasenko. The Russian star will be making his debut tonight at Madison Square Garden.
The Seattle Kraken have had a rough start to this east coast road trip, losing their first two games. Tonight, they will be playing the second half of a back-to-back and their third game in four nights.
The world’s most famous arena should be absolutely electric on Friday, and I don’t see the Rangers losing this game.

Kraken vs Rangers picks and predictions
The New York Rangers have been looking very strong as of late and a lot of that success is thanks to the young line featuring Filip Chytil, Alexis Lafreniere, and Kaapo Kakko. Chytil has seven goals and one assist over the last five games, while Lafreniere and Kakko have tallied five points apiece during that span.
The Seattle Kraken had a very strong first half of the season, but I have a feeling that this team is going to have a serious drop-off and a lot of that has to do with their lack of goaltending. Martin Jones is most likely the starter for tonight and he enters this game with a measly .895 SV% and a 2.86 GAA.
The Rangers' offense has exploded lately, scoring 13 goals in their last three games. When you add Vladimir Tarasenko to the mix, I have to think that this offense will be even more dangerous. New York is playing some really good hockey right now, while the Kraken are currently struggling on the road.
I love the Rangers to win this one in regulation.

Kraken vs Rangers moneyline analysis
The Rangers and Kraken have had some really good battles, as all three matchups have been tightly played games. The Rangers have taken two of the three meetings against Seattle and have won their last nine straight games against Western Conference teams.
The Kraken are 1-5 in their last six games against teams with a winning record and they are 4-5-1 in their last 10 games. Seattle isn't necessarily a talented roster on paper, but it's very well-coached and has been able to find ways to put the puck in the net for the majority of the season. That being said, the Kraken have only scored six goals in their last four games.
The Rangers have the clear goaltending edge and it seems like All-Star netminder Igor Shesterkin is going to start tonight. I love everything about this New York team right now and I have zero confidence in Seattle.
Kraken vs Rangers Over/Under analysis
The Kraken have been playing in a ton of low-scoring games as of late, as the Under is 4-1-1 in their last six games overall. The Rangers have had a somewhat similar recent history, but for some reason, my gut tells me that we might see an offensive explosion tonight.
The energy at MSG has been absolutely incredible this week as the Rangers have won both of their home games in pretty dramatic fashion. There is a ton of buzz going on in New York right now with the acquisition of Tarasenko, and the Rangers have already looked incredible on offense without him this season.
This should be a fun, high-scoring affair.
