We’ve got 10 games on the NHL betting slate tonight, including an Eastern Conference clash between the Carolina Hurricanes and Toronto Maple Leafs at Lenovo Center.
Goals might be hard to come by, which is why my Maple Leafs vs. Hurricanes predictions focus on the Under.

Under 6.5 (-155 at Sports Interaction)
My Leafs analysis
Tonight marks the first meeting between the two clubs this season, but last year, these squads played each other extremely tight and low-scoring, with a combined average of 5.8 goals scored.
I expect another tight, defensive game, as both sides rely on structure and defense. The Toronto Maple Leafs have won five games in a row, allowing an average of just two goals against over that span, with the Under hitting in four of the five games.
Maple Leafs starter Joseph Woll is also on a roll right now, winning five straight games and allowing two or fewer goals in four of those starts, with a .934 SV% over that stretch.
Woll’s ability to turn away shots when he faces them in high volumes will come in handy tonight as the Carolina Hurricanes rank second in shots and average more scoring chances per 60 minutes of 5-on-5 than any other team.
Despite being a high-volume shot-generating team, Carolina has hit a speed bump over the past weeks. It has traded wins and losses over the last seven outings and has only averaged 2.25 goals per game since the turn of the calendar.
Couple that with the Canes' stingy defensive play — they have surrendered just 2.8 goals per game this season — and the top penalty kill unit in the NHL, and I expect another low-scoring affair between these two clubs.
Maple Leafs vs Hurricanes same-game parlay (SGP)
Matthew Knies has been red hot since welcoming Auston Matthews back into the lineup alongside him. He leads all Leafs with 16 shots on goal over Toronto’s five-game winning streak. I’ll bet on him to keep it rolling and record 2+ shots tonight.
All three games last year were decided by one goal, and Toronto has gone 6-1 on the puck line over the last seven meetings between these two clubs. Plus, a Leafs' outright win isn't out of the question, either.
Toronto has won four straight on the road, and the Hurricanes have battled to find consistency lately.
