We’ve got nine games on the NHL betting slate today, including a cross-conference matchup between the Seattle Kraken and the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Climate Pledge Arena.
Toronto's power play has been a key ingredient in its success throughout this road trip, and I anticipate it remaining red hot tonight against Seattle.

My Leafs analysis
The Toronto Maple Leafs are looking for their third straight road win to begin this West Coast trip. They travel to Seattle to take on a struggling Kraken squad that has lost two in a row and four of its last five games.
The story has been the same for both teams over their last couple of outings — special teams. The Buds are 4-for-6 on the PP on this road trip, while the Kraken have surrendered two goals on the PK in each of their last two games.
Overall, the Leafs' power play is a respectable 23.3% on the season. However, it’s been the best PP since January 15 with a 44.4% success rate, netting multiple goals on the man advantage three times in the last seven games.
That should be very worrisome to Kraken fans. Their penalty-kill rate is a lowly 76% this year and just 69% over their last 10 games.
This makes sense when you examine the numbers: According to Natural Stat Trick, Seattle ranks 31st in expected goals against while on the PK.
A big reason for this is due to the number of quality chances it gives up, ranking 31st in high-danger chances. This is something the Leafs generate a lot of on the man advantage, ranking fifth in the league, averaging 31 high-danger chances per 60 minutes of power play time.
Mitch Marner is the player I want to target in this spot tonight at +210 odds to record a point on the power play. He leads all Maple Leafs and is tied for fourth in the NHL with 24 PPP.
The skilled play-driving winger has also factored in on 70% of the total PPGs that the Leafs have scored so far this year.
Maple Leafs vs Kraken same-game parlay (SGP)
Marner has had two or more shots in four of his last five outings.
The Kraken have allowed 35+ shots in each of their last two games and averaged 31.3 shots against over their last 10 games. Additionally, William Nylander has hit this total in seven of his last eight contests.
Auston Matthews is goalless in his last four games. That doesn’t happen often, and a game against the Kraken may be just what he needs to snap the skid. The Buds captain has torched the Kraken for seven goals in seven games throughout his career.
