I'm coming off a perfect 3-0 SU day for over 3.5 units, but that's just the tip of the iceberg as today is an even better 10-game slate with lots more angles.
I'm backing the reigning first-overall pick in his first game at Madison Square Garden, fading the Habs as it has been profitable all season, and betting a possible bump in ice time from the Sabres' center position.
These are my three favorite NHL player props for Thursday, November 14.

Today’s NHL prop picks and best bets
Prop bet #1: Macklin Celebrini Over 2.5 shots on goal
Macklin Celebrini is making his first trip to the Mecca at Madison Square Garden, and it comes at a time when the San Jose Sharks are actually playing decent hockey getting 11 of a possible 16 points over their last eight games.
The Sharks are heavy +320 road dogs but have already adjusted to East Coast travel, as this will be their third game of the road trip.
The first-overall pick is coming off a season-high 22:50 minutes of time on ice, and is playing his fifth game since returning from injury. Celebrini has totaled 15 shots on goal over that stretch, going 3-1 on his Over 2.5 SOG market.
Metrics have the New York Rangers as a lucky team to date and one that allows a ton of shots on net — third-most over the last 10 games. San Jose can be competitive in New York tonight, and with a huge ice-time share, Celebrini’s Over 2.5 SOG is one of my favorite NHL picks for today.
Prop bet #2: Dylan Cozens Over 0.5 points
Tage Thompson left Monday’s game vs. Montreal and is considered day-to-day and questionable tonight vs. the St. Louis Blues. That could give Dylan Cozens a bigger role as his line with JJ Peterka and Jack Quinn might become the No.1 offensive line the Buffalo Sabres lean on tonight in a favorable matchup.
Cozens is also playing on the top power-play unit, which won’t change even if Thompson comes back. It’s a power play that ranks in the Top 6 in hockey over the last 10 games at 28%, which has been a reason why Buffalo has been winning of late after a bad 1-4-1 start to the season.
St. Louis has been beaten up on of late but even more late in games. They are 0-3 SU in the last three matches but have been outscored 15-5 and out-shot 30-18. The Blues are not a team to back and the Sabres, fresh off a five-goal loss on Monday, can put up goals tonight.
If you’re looking for even more, the +198 stack here is Cozens and Peterka, who play together at 5-on-5 and on the power play.
Prop bet #3: Mats Zuccarello Over 0.5 points + Kirill Kaprizov Over 0.5 assists
Betting against the Montreal Canadiens has not been fair for the books. This is the worst defensive team in hockey and it's getting zero goaltending. They are coming off a 7-5 win on Monday, but bettors can expect at least four goals from the Minnesota Wild tonight as the Habs have allowed nearly 50 goals over the last 10 games.
The Wild and NHL MVP odds favorite Kirill Kaprizov will be facing a goalie in Sam Montembeault who is 1-8 SU in his last nine starts with a 4.33 GAA and a .856 save percentage.
Kaprizov is second in the league in points and has 19 helpers with nine goals over 15 games. His point total is 1.5, which makes stacking his Overs tough with linemate Mats Zuccarello, but for Zuccarello to get a point and Kaprizov to get an assist, it’s paying +150.
Kaprizov has failed to register an assist in just three games this year while Zuccarello has a point in nine of his last 12 games. It’s going to be one-sided game and this offense is going to stack goals with a lot of that coming from the top line.
