A Canadian clash takes place on Tuesday night when the Ottawa Senators fly west to do battle with the Winnipeg Jets. Both teams are winners of six in their last 10 games but are also coming off losses over the weekend.
Ottawa still finds itself in the dumps of the Atlantic Division while Winnipeg is flying high, but can the Sens win one for the small guys, or will Kyle Connor & Co. skate all over their competition.
You've got the questions, and I've got the answers in my NHL betting picks and predictions for the Senators vs. Jets on December 20.

Senators vs Jets picks and predictions
After finishing last season in sixth place in their division and missing out on the playoffs, the Winnipeg Jets are back near the top of the Central. Connor Hellebuyck has been outstanding this season, but there's another Jet I want to target for my best bet.
Kyle Connor — fresh off a 93-point campaign — is riding a nine-game point streak that has brought his total up to 35 points in 31 games. That number has him tied for the second-most points on Winnipeg, with only Josh Morrissey (36) having more.
Originally, I wanted to back his points prop, but I would rather not put any money near the -348 line his Over 0.5 is drawing, nor the plus money for his Over 1.5 — something he's surpassed only four times during this point streak.
Instead, I'll target his assist prop which can be found for a much more appetizing -128 to -160 depending on your book. That's still a hefty amount of juice, but it's worth it when you realize the probability of it hitting.
Through his point streak, Connor has registered at least one apple in eight of nine, and I like him to do so again against an Ottawa team that is playing its third straight game on the road and is in the bottom half of the league in goals allowed.
Connor gets plenty of ice time (fourth most on the team) while also seeing plenty of action on a power play that's converting 24% of the time. Another appetizing bet that is worth looking at is Connor's power-play point prop hovering around +105, but I think I'll sip some of that juice and play it safe, banking on "KFC" to lend a helping hand to his teammates tonight.
My best bet: Kyle Connor Over 0.5 assists (-128 at CoolBet)

Senators vs Jets moneyline analysis
The Jets opened as -150 home favorites and that's where they stand. Ottawa will look to end this three-game road trip with a win after splitting its first two games, but it won't be easy against a Jets squad that is 11-5 straight up at home this season.
Goalies are yet to be officially announced, but it's expected Cam Talbot and Hellebuyck will step between the pipes for their respective teams. Playing against Hellebuyck on any given night is always a tough task, with the netminder repping a 16-7-1 record to go along with his .928 save percentage and 2.33 goals against average.
Winnipeg's 20-10-1 record also outpaces the Sens' mediocre 14-15-2, so it's not surprising Ottawa finds itself as the underdog here. The only real edge Ottawa may have here is its impressive power play that is converting on 28.1% of chances — good for fourth in the NHL. The only problem comes with the Jets giving up just 8.8 penalty minutes per game.
It's hard to make a for-sure call when the goalies are yet to be confirmed, but if Hellebuyck gets the nod for tonight, I would heavily lean toward the Jets, and it may even be worth exploring some 3-way markets out there.
Senators vs Jets Over/Under analysis
This total opened at 6 and that's where it remains for the most part, although you can find some totals of 6.5 out there for plus money. Once again, it's a little hard to make a decision on the total without knowing the goaltenders, but the Under is always a safe bet if Hellebuyck is in net.
These teams have been quite profitable to the Under on the season, with Winnipeg's O/U record standing at 11-18-2, and Ottawa's at 12-19. More recently, the Jets have played three straight games Under the total, and a set of tired Ottawa legs may spell out the recipe for a fourth straight.
I'll most likely stay away from the total of 6 as these teams' offenses are definitely capable of reaching that number, but if you're keen on the Under that much I would recommend searching for a 6.5 and paying the price. I would also wait to see which tendies get the call.
