Germany vs Denmark Odds, Picks & Predictions: Kroos in Control on Day 14 of Euro 2024

Led by the perfect passing of Toni Kroos and the finishing ability of Jamal Musiala, Germany proved they are a force to be reckoned with in group play. That should spill over into their knockout game with Denmark, per our Euro 2024 betting picks.

Germany are in excellent form heading into the Round of 16 as they look to challenge the Euro 2024 odds and show they are better equipped to win the trophy than England and Spain. To do that, they'll first have to get past Denmark.

Here are my Germany vs. Denmark predictions and Euro 2024 picks for Saturday, June 29.

Germany vs Denmark picks, predictions, and betting tips

My analysis

The Germans topped Group A at Euro 2024 and are full of confidence ahead of their clash with Denmark.

Julian Nagelsmann's team started the Euros in flamboyant style, thumping Scotland 5-1 on their 2024 European Championship debut. A solid 2-0 win over Hungary cemented qualification, while the 1-1 draw in front of Switzerland in the last group outing only confirmed their dominant position.

Even though Denmark kept England silent in Group C, they will face an opponent of a different kind on Saturday.

Germany hit the net eight times during the group stage, a personal best for the national team, with their previous record being six. Germany's eight goals have surpassed the entirety of Group C, which Denmark was also part of. England, Denmark, Serbia, and Slovenia only scored seven times between themselves.

Nagelsmann enjoys loads of talent in this team. Musiala, Gundogan, or Wirtz playing up front means hitting the panic button for almost every opponent. Then there's "Mr. Perfect Pass" Toni Kroos, who enjoyed unprecedented stats at the Euros. During the group stage, he completed 326 of his 341 attempted passes, which translated to 95.7% accuracy.

Alongside Portugal, Germany top the rankings when it comes to attacking data. They had the most attempts (57), the highest number of shots on target (19), and the highest overall passing accuracy (93%), as they only fell behind Portugal regarding the number of attacks (213 to 207).

Denmark finished second in Group C despite not winning any of their three matches. The Euro 2020 semi-finalists held England to a draw on Matchday 2 in the group stage, showing some of the chemistry and energy that led the team to a Top 4 finish three years ago. They will miss Morten Hjulmand, who is suspended, whereas Germany will be without defender Jonathan Tah.

Germany and Denmark had previously met in major tournaments on four occasions, with each team winning twice. Their most important encounter was in the final of Euro 1992, which Denmark surprisingly won 2-0 in Sweden. In the overall head-to-head record, Germany has 15 wins compared to Denmark's eight. The Danish troops haven't lost more than once in their previous six games against Germany.

The Germans usually go all-or-nothing in the knockout stages at the Euros. Only one of their previous nine KO games at the Euros went into extra-time. Denmark also loves goals in their games. Over their last nine Euro knockout round matches, there has been a total of 28 goals scored, an average of 3.11 goals per game.

Despite their cautious approach in the group stage leading them to qualification, Denmark will need to do more if they want to trouble an in-form German team.

Jamal Musiala odds, prop for today

My best bet
1+ shots on target (-154 at Betano)

My analysis
Jamal Musiala had five attempts in his first three matches at Euro 2024. Only Havertz (10) and Sane (7) had more in the German team. Three of Musiala's shots were on target. He is a player who likes to make the opponent feel in danger, while also contributing defensively for his team. Nagelsmann rates him highly and he will play an important part in Germany's bid to win the trophy.

He will look to profit from Denmark's stiffness at the back and add more goals to his tally. Alongside super-sub Fullkrug, Musiala is Germany's top scorer at Euro 2024 with two goals.

Germany vs Denmark same-game parlay (SGP)

Germany moneyline

Jamal Musiala 1+ shots on target

Germany Over 4.5 corners

Germany will be the leading voice in this game. Denmark should expect much work to do in their box, so a bet on Over 4.5 corners for Germany can complete a nice SGP.

Germany had nine corners vs Switzerland, 11 against Hungary, and five against Scotland. The Germans have been in control in each of their games so far. They will look to not let that slip vs. Denmark. Led by the excellent Kroos, Gundogan, Musiala, and Wirtz quartet, they can surely play the music they want.
