New England Revolution vs Inter Miami CF Predictions and Picks for Saturday's MLS Matchup

If Inter Miami intends to stay perched atop the Eastern Conference standings, games like these, against teams at the foot of the table are ones they need to win and win handily. Our soccer betting picks believe that'll be the case and Lionel Messi will lead the charge once more.

The next stop on Inter Miami's traveling road show is this evening in Foxborough when they take on the New England Revolution.

Inter Miami seems to have found their groove as they've netted three times in back-to-back games to stake their claim as one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. Will their high-flying attack prove too much for a Revolution side that sits rock bottom and has scored just five goals through eight games?

Find out what my free betting picks say for New England vs. Inter Miami on Saturday, April 27.

My best bet:
Inter Miami moneyline (+106 at TonyBet)

My analysis
It's hard to imagine a scenario where the New England Revolution can score enough goals in this contest to come away with three points, or at the very least a draw.

This is a team that has lost three on the trot in all competitions and has mustered just two total goals in that span while giving up eight. Yes, the last two games have come away from home, but New England has mustered just four points from a possible 12 at Gillette Stadium, and a date with Inter Miami won't help the cause.

Inter Miami is starting to show its teeth in attack, led by Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. They've netted three times in each of the last two games and the Herons dynamic duo has been front and center of all the action.

The pair sit second and third in MLS scoring, behind only Cristian Arango of Real Salt Lake, but a matchup with a Revolution side that's leaking goals should be enough for the duo to add to their tallies.

Defensively, Inter Miami has been vulnerable but I expect one-way traffic toward the New England goalkeeper, thus limiting the Revolution's chances at bulging the twine.

At plus-money odds, you better act fast before this line shortens.

Lionel Messi anytime goal

Over 1.5 goals

Simply put, this is the kind of game, against the kind of team Inter Miami should win easily. They have the far superior starting eleven and leading the charge as usual should be Lionel Messi.

Messi has netted in each of his last three MLS games (four total goals) and will be in line to take any penalties that may go in favor of the Herons.

  • Moneyline: New England Revolution +204 | Inter Miami CF +106
  • Draw: +275
  • Over/Under: Over 3 (-110)| Under 3 (-125)

New England Revolution vs Inter Miami CF side and Over/Under analysis

  • Inter Miami has seen their odds drift out from opening at +106 to +110 to +115 depending on the book. I believe this line will shorten up once the lineups are announced on Saturday.
  • The total opened at 3 (Under -125) but has since dropped to 2.5 at most books with juice hitting nearly -130 on the over.
  • Given New England's inability to score consistently, the likelihood of a 2-0 or 3-0 final score is high. Make sure to shop around for the best available number.
