Last Meeting ( Mar 24, 2019 ) L.A. Clippers 124, New York 113

The Los Angeles Clippers will try to rebound from a dismal home loss when they host the New York Knicks on Sunday. Playing without star forward Paul George (hamstring), the Clippers suffered a 140-114 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday - their worst defensive scoring effort since Oct. 30, 2017 - to fall to 5-5 over their last 10 games.

"We've been playing like this the last four, five games. The last good game we played was against the Lakers (on Christmas)," Los Angeles coach Doc Rivers told reporters. "We got to play better." The Clippers are 1-3 over their last four home games after opening 14-1 at the Staples Center. The Knicks' season-high three-game winning streak came to an end Friday with a 120-112 loss at Phoenix. Marcus Morris scored 25 points for New York, which allowed 69 second-half points while falling to 5-7 against the Western Conference, compared to 5-18 versus the East.

TIME: 3:30 p.m. ET. TV: MSG (New York), Prime Ticket (Los Angeles)

ABOUT THE KNICKS (10-25): New York gave up an average of 91.7 points during the three-game winning streak, but a Phoenix attack led by star guard Devin Booker (38 points) had few issues scoring, especially down the stretch. "We got good shots, honestly," forward Julius Randle told reporters. "We scored enough points to win the game. We just couldn't get stops. We had a slow start in the third quarter and they were confident the rest of the way." Randle finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds for his third straight double-double, but he missed all six of his 3-point attempts and shot 5-of-17 overall.

ABOUT THE CLIPPERS (25-12): With George out, fellow star Kawhi Leonard struggled to pick up the slack by shooting 8-for-24 from the floor and picking up a technical foul after the halftime buzzer. Montrezl Harrell had 28 points and Lou Williams added 24 for Los Angeles, which tied a pair of season lows with three steals and one blocked shot. Guard Patrick Beverley missed his third straight game due to a wrist injury but could return soon.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Harrell is averaging 25.5 points on 60.6 percent shooting in two January games.

2. Knicks PF Bobby Portis scored 20 points in 20 minutes at Phoenix.

3. Los Angeles has won seven meetings in a row at home.

PREDICTION: Clippers 113, Knicks 105
