Last Meeting ( Dec 21, 2019 ) Chicago 119, Detroit 107

The Chicago Bulls aim to complete a four-game season sweep of Detroit when they visit the Pistons on Saturday. Chicago won the first three meetings by an average of 12.7 points, including a 119-107 victory in Detroit on Dec. 21.

The Bulls are saddled with a six-game losing streak entering this contest after falling 116-105 to the visiting Indiana Pacers on Friday. Standout guard Zach LaVine scored 43 points for his second 40-point effort of the campaign while knocking down eight 3-pointers to help keep Chicago within range of the Pacers. The Pistons have dropped 10 of their past 13 games after suffering a 115-112 overtime loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday in the opener of a three-game homestand. Detroit recently lost power forward Blake Griffin (knee surgery) at a time when forward Markieff Morris (foot) along with guards Luke Kennard (knee) and Reggie Jackson (back) are also sidelined.

TIME: 7 p.m. ET. TV: NBCS Chicago, FS Detroit

ABOUT THE BULLS (13-26): LaVine posted his 11th 30-point effort of the season with his big output against the Pacers and his point total fell six short of the career-best 49 he scored against the Charlotte Hornets on Nov. 23. LaVine scored 20 straight Chicago points during one stretch but was stunned about it after the contest as he had to be reminded six of them came at the end of the first half. "I thought it was 12, 16. How did I get 20?" LaVine asked before getting the answer. "Oh yeah, I count stuff in my head now. But I'm just trying to help."

ABOUT THE PISTONS (14-25): Guard Derrick Rose has put together a season-long streak of four straight 20-point outings and reached the mark 14 times this season. The former NBA MVP averaged 25.5 points and six assists as the club split a back-to-back with the Cavaliers and is averaging 25.3 points over the past four games. Center Andre Drummond had 28 points and 23 rebounds on Thursday as part of consecutive 20-20 efforts against Cleveland and he has seven for the season while collecting at least 20 rebounds on 10 occasions.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. The Pistons won seven straight meetings prior to this season's struggles against the Bulls.

2. Chicago rookie G Coby White scored 23 points against the Pacers for his fifth 20-point outing of the campaign.

3. Detroit swingman Tony Snell averaged 14.5 points on 12-of-20 shooting in the two games against Cleveland.

PREDICTION: Pistons 105, Bulls 101
