Phoenix @ Utah preview
Vivint Smart Home Arena
Last Meeting ( Mar 15, 2018 ) Phoenix 88, Utah 116
The Utah Jazz look to stretch their homecourt winning streak against Phoenix to nine games when they host the Suns on Wednesday. Phoenix limps into town with a season-long 11-game losing streak while the Jazz have won 10 of their past 13 outings.
The Suns put up a fight before falling 118-110 to the visiting Houston Rockets on Monday but lost by 20 or more points on four occasions during the slide. Standout shooting guard Devin Booker had 19 points in 33 minutes before departing with tightness in his right hamstring but said he intends to play against the Jazz. Utah is coming off a suspect performance against the Rockets as it was drubbed 125-98 at home while committing 23 turnovers. The Jazz have been blown out by 27 points in two of their past three contests as they were also pounded 132-105 by the Portland Trail Blazers on Jan. 30.

ABOUT THE SUNS (11-44): Second-year forward Josh Jackson poured in 25 points in each of the past two games and scored in double digits in seven of the past eight outings. Jackson is 21-of-38 shooting in the two big games behind an approach that has seen him looking to shoot more as opposed to the tentativeness he has occasionally displayed in the past. "He's being aggressive," Booker told reporters. "When I wasn't playing (due to injury), he was playing super aggressive and when I came back, I had a talk with him. I was like, 'no matter if I am on the court or not, you're starting. ... We need you to be aggressive.'"
ABOUT THE JAZZ (30-24): Point guard Ricky Rubio didn't make a shot from the field while collecting just six points and two assists against Houston on a day that trade rumors began percolating. The Jazz are reportedly making a run at standout Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley and Rubio would likely be one of the pieces sent to Memphis. Rubio averaged 17.3 points and 8.7 assists over the previous three games and is averaging 12.9 points and 6.1 assists while shooting 40.2 percent from the field.
