Arizona @ Green Bay preview
Lambeau Field
Last Meeting ( Jan 16, 2016 ) Green Bay 20, Arizona 26
The Green Bay Packers are hoping to take a big step forward by traveling the same path of the past. After running the table with six contests remaining in 2016, Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams and the rest of the Packers look to take the first step on a five-game journey when they host the sputtering Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
"I feel like we've been down this road before," Adams said. "In '16, when we had to win them and we made that happen. A lot of the same players in here, a lot of the guys who were here when that whole run-the-table thing was brought to the table." Rodgers has 20 touchdowns against one interception this season and Adams has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career and is on pace to break several franchise season records. Green Bay takes a 4-0-1 home mark into Sunday's meeting with Arizona, which hasn't defeated a team other than San Francisco this season and sustained its second 45-10 drubbing in five contests with last week's lackluster effort versus the Los Angeles Chargers. "Definitely was embarrassing, definitely not what we want," Cardinals coach Steve Wilks said. "This organization, that team in that locker room, those players and coaches, we got to do better."

ABOUT THE CARDINALS (2-9): Rookie Josh Rosen's growing pains continued on Sunday, as he threw for his fewest yards (105) in a start while tossing an interception for the 10th time in his last six outings. Rosen, who was the 10th overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, fired a touchdown pass to Larry Fitzgerald for the fifth time in five games before the Chargers scored 45 straight points to send Arizona to its third straight loss. Fitzgerald has scored six times in five career encounters versus the Packers (including one postseason game) and resides one touchdown shy of Antonio Gates (116) for the most among active players and sixth place all-time. While those numbers are favorable, the Cardinals rank last in the NFL in total offense (232.5), passing yards (155.2), rushing yards (77.3) and points (14.1).
ABOUT THE PACKERS (4-6-1): Green Bay essentially has failed to play after halftime in each of its last two games, mustering just one field goal by Mason Crosby in a 27-24 setback versus Seattle on Nov. 15 and a 24-17 loss at Minnesota on Sunday night. "We've just been a one-half team this year," the 34-year-old Rodgers said. "We haven't put it together for four quarters. We've had a couple stretches where we had back-to-back good quarters in the first or second half and haven't done it in the other two. So it's execution; it's the little details." The little details include a 23.1 percent conversion rate on third down, seven sacks allowed and just eight first downs recorded in the second half. Tight end Jimmy Graham, who has been hampered by a broken thumb, has been limited to just four catches for 61 yards over his last three games.
EXTRA POINTS
1. Arizona LB Chandler Jones has recorded 4.5 of his team-leading 11 sacks in his last three games while DT Robert Nkemdiche collected a career-high 2.5 sacks last week.
2. Green Bay RB Aaron Jones has stepped up with 539 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns (five rushing, one receiving) in his past five games.
3. The Cardinals have won the last two encounters with the Packers overall, but have lost nine in a row at Green Bay (playoffs included).
