Thursday night’s conditions in Cleveland are a great reminder that we’re getting into the grueling part of the schedule where temperature drops and weather systems play a vital part in your NFL picks

As we roll into Week 12, we take a trip around the outdoor venues and find out what wind, rain, and other conditions could impact the latest NFL odds.

Here’s the latest NFL betting weather report for Week 12.

Buccaneers vs Giants Weather

We could be in for some weather-affected highlights when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.

Light showers are expected to hit from the second quarter on, with wind gusts anywhere from 25-28 mph — officially in the range that could alter kicks or force coaches to make decisions on whether to try a field goal or go for it on fourth down.

Tampa’s kicking game is solid, though, with Chase McLaughlin missing just one field goal in 17 tries. For the New York side, it’s the first game of the post-Daniel Jones era, and the G-Men are going to Tommy DeVito. Not exactly ideal conditions to showcase your wares for the first time this season.

As the weather conditions have become more solidified, you can see the changes in the total as well. The scoring line was as high as 43.5 points to start the week but settled into the 41.0-41.5-point range by Thursday.

Cardinals vs Seahawks Weather

Lumen Field is already considered one of the NFL’s great home-field advantages, and the expected soggy conditions could help out the Seattle Seahawks when they host the Arizona Cardinals.

The weather’s been mostly nice to the Cardinals this year, going 2-2 away from the dome, without weather playing much of a factor — except for their Week 6 loss at Green Bay where they were whipped 34-13. Kyler Murray threw for just 214 yards in the rainy conditions, and the run game mustered just 89 total yards on 23 carries.

The wind gusts will only top out at a predicted 9 mph, so the effect on field goal kicking might be negligible. Arizona’s Chad Ryland is 11-of-12 on field goals this year and drilled two in Green Bay.

The highest total given this week was 41 points, which has since settled at about 39.5.

Vikings vs Bears Weather

Get ready for a late-November showcase between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears, and the weather is about as optimal as you could hope for in the Windy City.

Gusts are just teetering on being tough on kickers, as they expect to hit 17 mph, and we’ve seen how wind wreaks havoc on the kicking game at Soldier Field in years past.

Vikings kicker John Parker Romo has been solid as a fill-in for Will Reichard, scoring all the points in a 12-7 over Jacksonville in Week 11 on a perfect 4-for-4 day, and then staying perfect with another field goal in a win at Tennessee last week. Chicago had its own kicking woes in cold weather last week, seeing their last-second kick by Cairo Santos blocked in a loss to the Packers.

The total of 39.5 hasn’t moved, which may be more an indication of poor offensive play from both sides than the weather itself.
