The second semifinal of the day in the Wimbledon women’s draw will feature a highly watchable contest between two players who have played some memorable matches against each other over the years, Barbora Krejcikova and Elena Rybakina.

Sure, it’s hard to call the two rivals, but we should be treated to a great match if the head-to-head or their respective Grand Slam titles are any indication.

Will Rybakina fall and guarantee a fresh face in the winner’s circle at a Grand Slam? Let’s break down the Wimbledon odds ahead of our free betting picks for Krejcikova vs. Rybakina on Thursday, July 11.

Barbora Krejcikova vs Elena Rybakina match prediction

This is the stylistic matchup you dream of seeing in a big Grand Slam match.

In one corner, you have Rybakina – the 2022 Wimbledon champion who is nearly unstoppable on a fast surface. She can use her height and strength to great advantage on grass, booming serves, and forehands through the court to make quick work of her opponents.

In the other corner is Krejcikova, a crafty player with an extensive doubles background who used those matches to develop expert returning and volleying skills. She gets plenty of balls back into play, has great anticipation on the court, and can hit a wicked slice which is a big-time weapon on grass.

Krejcikova has beaten Rybakina both times they’ve met in their careers, and while one was an exhibition match back in 2021 the other was a rather big semifinal in Ostrava two years ago. She emerged the victor in three long sets, wearing down the giant that is Rybakina.

I think she’s looked incredible over the last two weeks and has come through two opponents in recent rounds that are much stronger than her opponents here. A former Grand Slam champion in her own right, Krejcikova has the goods to pull off an upset.

Prediction: Krejcikova moneyline (+365 at FanDuel)

Barbora Krejcikova vs Elena Rybakina best bet

Given the live nature of Krejcikova to win this match, it should come as no surprise that I see 4.5 games to be an all-too-generous number to spot the World No. 32.

Yes, she’s never beaten a top-five player in a Grand Slam, but she has beaten Rybakina in the past when she stood as one of those. She mustered up three break points against Rybakina in their most recent meeting, saving two of six break points against her in her own right, and she managed to win an equal percentage of points on serve as Rybakina, a prototypical “serve bot.”

Her return of serve is excellent given her doubles background, so surely she can negotiate a break or two here – and perhaps even win the match. I prefer the comfort of the game spread here to taking her to win a set outright, as the likelihood she conjures up a couple of breaks is high but the risk of her failing to hold serve is just as large.

She can fall in two sets and still have a great shot at a cover.

Best bet: Krejcikova +4.5 games (-110 at DraftKings)
