Fight analysis
Two UFC veterans are set to get things started on UFC 311’s PPV main card. Recency bias would suggest leaning toward Landwehr in this fight at a very playable -140 price tag.
He’s won four of his past five fights, which include upset victories over L’udovit Klein, David Onama, and Jamall Emmers. On the other hand, Choi is just 1-3-1 over his past five bouts.
With that said, I think there is value to be had at +110 on the underdog. This scrap has Fight of the Night potential, and both guys are going to do what they always do: step in there and swing.
Choi has one-touch power, and Landwehr can go down. The latter got knocked out by Herbert Burns with a knee, and while a knee can catch anyone, Burns is far less powerful than what Choi is going to bring to the table.
Best best analysis
Sticking with that philosophy, there is even more value in Choi’s knockout prop at +350. This scrap is going to be a “stand-and-bang”, considering the M.O. of each fighter.
Choi has just one submission victory across 20 professional bouts, and it occurred over a decade ago. Meanwhile, Landwehr has only tapped once across 23 professional fights.
Despite being around longer, Choi is the younger fighter. In a bout that is expected to be a rapid-fire slugfest from the jump, his power should break through and put Landwehr down.
