Craig vs Hill betting preview

Paul "Bearjew" Craig is the former BAMMA World Light Heavyweight Champion and is currently No. 14 in the UFC Light Heavyweight rankings. The 33-year-old is coming off a TKO win over Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and has gone 6-4-1 since joining the UFC in 2016.

With a brown belt in BJJ, Craig is one of the most dangerous grapplers in the division, with 12 of his 14 career wins coming via submission. He has five submission wins in the UFC, including a last-second triangle choke against Magomed Ankalaev to hand Ankalaev the only loss of his career.

Jamahal "Sweet Dreams" Hill is the No. 15 ranked light heavyweight. After earning a UFC contract following a knockout victory on Dana White's Contender Series, Hill had a very impressive 2020. Sweet Dreams had a unanimous decision win over Darko Stosic in his UFC debut in January before back-to-back knockouts against Klidson Abreu and Ovince Saint Preux.

Although the TKO against Abreu was later changed to a no-contest because Hill tested positive for marijuana, the 30-year-old is still a perfect 8-0 in his MMA career with five wins by stoppage. Hill is a long, explosive striker with speed and knockout power.

Craig vs Hill UFC predictions and betting picks

PREDICTION: Hill by KO/TKO (-120) - Craig is a submission specialist and could certainly pull off a sneaky sub if this bout goes to the ground. However, his offensive wrestling isn't the best and Hill has solid defense on the mat and the strength to resist takedowns.

There are plenty of holes in Craig's striking and he has been starched in the past by more athletic fighters with knockout power like Alonzo Menifield and Khalil Roundtree Jr.

Hill has the striking ability to give Craig fits and four of his last five fights (including the Abreu bout) have ended with him finishing his opponent by strikes.
