Jessica Andrade vs Yan Xiaonan betting preview
Jessica Andrade is hoping to rebound after she was submitted by rising star Erin Blanchfield in a fight where she came in on short notice. While she isn’t facing someone who could be a future world champion, Xiaonan possess unique qualities that could make her night difficult.
Going into this fight, Andrade has tons of experience and a mean streak to boot. She is one of the rare finishers in women’s MMA, with an average fight time of 9:38 and 17 finishes in 24 wins. Additionally, she’s fearless and is willing to get into a dust up if it means she can impose her will on her opponents.
That strategy has failed her against heavy-hitters like Zhang Weili and Valentina Shevchenko, but Xiaonan is feather-fisted compared to them. Her cerebral opponent is likely to try and keep her at bay, using her jab and leg kicks to slow Andrade down and eat up the clock. If Andrade can dictate the pace and get inside on Xiaonan, she might just need a good whack or two to close up shop.
Yan Xiaonan has to keep it cool, but she might need to get out of character when things get rough. She had to survive some rough moments on the ground in her win against Mackenzie Dern, with her striking output enough to earn a majority decision. Unfortunately, she couldn’t overcome the same pressure from aggressive-minded fighters like Marina Rodriguez and Carla Esparza.
The Sanshou practitioner is at her best when she sets the pace. Whereas Andrade wins with grit, Xiaonan opts to use her ring generalship and conditioning to take fights the distance. She is a busy striker, but she must avoid getting caught up in exchanges with Andrade.
Successfully playing matador to Andrade’s bull will be essential here. Xiaonan throws punches in bunches, but she lacks the stopping power to keep Andrade honest. If she can pull this off, then she’ll have the signature win she’s been searching for since entering the UFC.

Jessica Andrade vs Yan Xiaonan UFC prediction and best bet
Fight prediction: Andrade ML
Andrade can be excused for losing to Blanchfield, and is rightfully a strong favorite. She is in the same class of opponents whom Xiaonan has lost against. While Xiaonan could pitch a perfect game here, that lack of firepower will ensure Andrade pours it on her, unless she can keep this an outside fight.
This should be a good bounce back fight for Andrade. We’re backing her to win.
Prediction: Andrade ML (-195 at DraftKings)
Fight best bet: Andrade by KO/TKO/DQ
We feel that Andrade’s not only the stronger fighter, but the more well-rounded one as well. She can outstrike Xiaonan, and exploit her potential weakness on the ground. She’ll get a taste of Xiaonan’s power early, and when she realizes that she can’t hurt her, she’ll dial up the intensity.
Eventually, Andrade is going to start beating her up. She’ll score a takedown, then pound her way to a TKO win.
Pick: Andrade by KO/TKO/DQ (+225 at DraftKings)
