Get ready for a big Friday night in the WNBA with championship contenders galore and another tasty installment of the Indiana Fever-Chicago Sky rivalry.

There’s no shortage of storylines tonight as the Minnesota Lynx chase their eighth straight victory and the Las Vegas Aces try to get back on track after a shocking loss to the Dallas Wings. I’ve scoured the WNBA player props markets for my top three WNBA picks for August 30.

Today's best WNBA player props bets

Prop bet #1: Arike Ogunbowale Over 20.5 points

It’s been a tough year for the Dallas Wings but their win over the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday was a reminder of what they can do when everything falls into place. Satou Sabally and Natasha Howard did most of the damage that night, but I’m sticking with Arike Ogunbowale as a best bet tonight against the in-form Minnesota Lynx.

This is a pick centered around volume and a high floor. After all, Ogunbowale has played all 40 minutes in Dallas’ past three games and you have to go back to June 22 for the last time she played fewer than 37 minutes.

That gives Ogunbowale a monster workload as the leader of this Wings offense, and she’s averaging 22.2 ppg in 2024. She’s had at least 17 field-goal attempts in each of her past three outings, and she poured in 33 points on Sunday against the Los Angeles Sparks.

The efficiency isn’t always there with Ogunbowale, but I like her chances of hitting the Over on her points prop with the O/U line set at 20.5, especially with Sabally’s return taking away some of the defensive attention.

Ogunbowale ended up just short of that number in her 20-point effort against Las Vegas, but she’s scored 23 points and 21 points in her two matchups against Minnesota this season. I see her leading the way for Dallas again here.

Prop bet #2: Angel Reese Under 28.5 points + rebounds

-122 at FanDuel

A four-game losing streak has put the Chicago Sky’s playoff hopes in jeopardy, and they’re walking into another tough game tonight against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.

With Chennedy Carter (game-time decision) working her way back from an illness and the Chicago offense kept in check by the Washington Mystics last time out, the burden has only increased on Angel Reese — and I’m predicting a quieter night for the Sky rookie here.

Given the possibility of foul trouble, or limited minutes if the score gets out of hand, I prefer the Under on Reese’s combined points and rebounds tonight. She finished with 14 boards and seven points against Washington on Wednesday, and I’m picturing something similar here.

She’s fallen short of this 28.5 O/U number in two of the three matchups with Indiana this season, and I expect the Fever to have extra bodies around Reese, especially since Chicago looks painfully short of other scoring options.

Prop bet #3: Breanna Stewart Over 9.5 rebounds

+125 at bet365

Beware a New York Liberty backlash tonight after an embarrassing loss to the Sparks in midweek, and I’m looking for Breanna Stewart to lead the charge.

With Jonquel Jones listed as questionable due to an illness, New York may need Stewart’s rebounding more than ever. She only pulled down six rebounds in 34 minutes against L.A., but we should see a more impactful stat line on the defensive end tonight.

Though Stewart is averaging 8.8 rpg this season, she’s capable of huge nights on the glass. Her 15-rebound effort against the Connecticut Sun last weekend is just one example, and the Liberty will have their hands full in the paint here against an athletic Seattle Storm frontcourt.

Stewart racked up 11 boards in the teams’ only prior meeting this year, and I like these plus odds for another double-digit tally. There should be a renewed intensity for New York, with both the Lynx and the Sun closing in at the top of the WNBA standings, and that paves the way for Stewie to dominate.
