Daniel Dubois vs. Anthony Joshua is a heavyweight title fight and a premier boxing betting event this Saturday.

Joshua aims to join the likes of Evander Holyfield and Muhammad Ali by becoming a three-time heavyweight champion, while Dubois hopes that an upset defense of his recently-won title puts him on the path to superstardom.

Boxing odds have Joshua a significant favorite at -425 and champion Dubois as a +320 underdog. Here are my best Dubois vs. Joshua predictions and free betting picks from Wembley Stadium for September 21.

Dubois vs Joshua prediction and pick

Fight analysis

Anthony Joshua is not just on the verge of winning the heavyweight title for a third time — which is an amazing feat in and of itself — but a win here could also punch his ticket to the Hall of Fame.

This won't be an easy fight, or at least it shouldn’t be, because Daniel Dubois is a big puncher and has shown a lot of heart in his last two fights. However, since Joshua made the trainer switch to Ben Davison two fights ago, I can confidently say he looks better than he has in a long time.

Joshua is fighting with the same kind of confidence and aggression we saw early in his career when we thought he was the best heavyweight since Lennox Lewis. And he’s no longer doing so recklessly as he's adopted a style more suited to his strengths.

This is the best version of Joshua we’ve seen in quite some time, but will it be enough to beat Dubois and win the title? I strongly think so.

Nothing against Dubois, who has great power and a fast delivery system, but he’s lacking in other areas. Yes, he is the younger fighter and has shown considerable improvement since being broken down by Joe Joyce and outright mauled by Oleksandr Usyk. But he was also moments away from a decision loss to Jarrell Miller, who hadn’t fought in nearly two years, until his power bailed him out with a knockout two fights ago.

In his last bout, Filip Hrgović was outboxing him for seven rounds until Dubois uncorked him in the eighth as things were starting to get out of hand.

If he falls behind against Joshua, who is far better than those two, he'll find that his magic hat has no more rabbits in it.

Joshua is a fantastic finisher and has been no worse than the No. 3 fighter in the division for nearly a decade. Dubois is a basic puncher, and if he can’t impose his will early, he’ll likely spend his time waiting for an opportunity that may never come. By the time that chance does arrive — if it even does — it will be too late as Joshua will already be all over him, lining him up for a kill shot.

There’s always the puncher’s chance with Dubois, something we can’t discount given that he’s won 95% of his fights by knockout. But the fact that he’s entering this fight with a title may end up being the highlight of his night.

The prediction here is that Joshua walks out a three-time heavyweight champion.

Best best analysis

All but one of Dubois’ fights have ended inside the distance and Joshua has knocked out his last three opponents. Since Joshua has linked up with Davison, he’s been more aggressive and is finishing his opponents faster than he normally has in the past.

While I don’t think he’ll stop Dubois inside two rounds like he did boxing novice Francis Ngannou, Dubois is sure to get himself in trouble early on and Joshua will capitalize.

Joshua will develop his confidence early, and I feel that all the elements are there for him to blast Dubois out early. My best bet is that Joshua gets a stoppage win inside the first six rounds.
