While "professional" boxing has become more of a publicity sideshow in recent years, the crossover potential for big names in combat sports has lured many aging UFC stars into high-profile bouts.
Such will be the case again on June 1, when former octagon champs Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz square off in a PPV clash.
Boxing odds have Masvidal installed as a comfortable favorite over his former MMA foe; a -300 edge, with Diaz coming back at +240.
We break down the Masvidal vs. Diaz odds below, with what we know about the fight so far.

Jorge Masvidal vs Nate Diaz odds analysis
It's been five years since Jorge Masvidal knocked out Nate Diaz at UFC 244 for the BMF title at Madison Square Garden, and the two are stepping back into the ring, albeit under different circumstances.
Both have since crested the proverbial "hill" of their careers, with Masvidal retiring from the UFC after being blasted by Gilbert Burns in April 2023, less than a year after Diaz opted out of his contract with the promotion.
Both have since dabbled in pugilism, most notably Diaz's loss to Jake Paul in August 2023.
This "rematch" pits two of the toughest fighters in MMA history against each other, but oddsmakers feel that Gamebred should have a clear edge this time around.

How to read boxing odds
The most common way to bet on a boxing match is picking the overall winner of the bout. With Masvidal being the favorite for this fight, the minus sign (-) is in front of his odds at -300. That means bettors would need to wager $300 to win $100. A Diaz win would pay out more, as he's the underdog at +240. A $100 wager would lead to a $240 profit.
Other prop bets will become available closer to the fight date, such as the method of victory and round betting.
