Manny Pacquiao vs. Yordenis Ugás odds are on the board, after a replacement was named for this boxing main event on August 21 in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao, 42, will be fighting for the first time since 2019. He was set to face 27-0 Errol Spence, but the IBF and WBC welterweight champion was forced to withdraw on August 10 after pre-fight medical evaluations discovered Spence had a torn retina.

Enter the 26-4 Ugás, who was set to fight in the undercard but was then elevated to the main event.

Oddsmakers originally had Pacquiao as a +240 underdog against Spence, but he then opened as a -310 favorite against Ugás.

Here are the latest Pacquiao vs. Ugás odds for the August 21 fight.

Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugás odds analysis

Pacquiao is the only eight-division world champion in boxing history and is widely considered one of the greatest pound-for-pound fighters of all time. He is 62-7-2 in his career with big wins against Erik Morales, Miguel Cotto, Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez, and Tim Bradley.

Pacquiao hasn't fought since July 2019, when he defeated Keith Thurman by split decision to win the WBA (Super) welterweight title. Pacman opened as a +133 underdog for that fight before eventually becoming the favorite at -170.

The decorated fighter will be hoping to end his boxing career on a high note before making a presidential run in the Philippines in 2022.

Ugás claimed the vacant WBA (Regular) welterweight championship with a split-decision win against Abel Ramos last September. He is 11-1 in his last 12 fights with his only defeat in that span coming by way of a controversial split decision to Shawn Porter in March 2019.

The Cuban has a similar aggressive style to Spence, but unlike Pacquiao's previously scheduled opponent, Ugás fights out of an orthodox stance. The 35-year-old is no stranger to fighting as the underdog, coming in at plus money for wins against Jamal James and Bryant Perrella and closing as a +250 dog in that close loss to Porter.

How to read boxing odds

The most common way of betting on a boxing match is by picking the overall winner of the bout. With Pacquiao being the favorite for this fight, his odds have the minus sign (-) in front of them at -310. This means that bettors would need to wager $310 in order to win $100. An Ugás win would pay out more as he's the underdog at +245. This means that a $100 wager would profit $245.

As we get closer to the fight date other prop bets will be become available, such as method of victory and round betting.

The odds listed above are in American format, but can easily be converted to decimal or fractional format via our odds converter tool.
