One special guest joins rapper Kendrick Lamar at the Super Bowl LIX halftime show, fans learned Thursday. The NFL announced on social media site X that SZA will perform at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans as part of Feb. 9’s huge event.

The Grammy-winning singer was featured on several of Lamar’s tracks, and the duo is set to tour together this year. This wasn’t much of a surprise and something sportsbooks braced for in the betting market. SZA was -210 at FanDuel Canada to be part of the intermission’s main event, and she might not be the only special guest to join Lamar during the halftime show.
Future and Metro Boomin are currently both listed at +125 by FanDuel Canada to be celebrity guests on stage, followed by Lamar’s cousin Baby Keem (+170) and Lil Wayne (+185).
Other popular potential performers with +600 odds or greater include Rhianna, Eminem, and Taylor Swift. Drake, who’s had a long-running feud with Lamar, is listed near the bottom at +3,500.
Other halftime show markets
There are plenty of other ways to bet on the Super Bowl halftime show other than Lamar’s fellow performers. Some of the most popular markets include songs performed first and last. “Not Like Us” is the favorite at +195 to be Lamar’s opener, and the same track is +550 to close the halftime show.
“All the Stars” at +240 is just ahead of “Savior” at +250 in a long list of track options in the last song market.
Bettors can also bet the Over or Under on 10.5 songs Lamar performs in New Orleans. Other halftime-related markets include how many diss tracks Lamar will sing about Drake, whether or not Drake will release a diss track on Super Bowl Sunday, and if Lamar wears a hoodie or not for the first song.
FanDuel Canada is offering a host of Grammy/Super Bowl betting specials as well.
Who’s playing in the game?
The winners of Sunday’s NFC and AFC championship games will meet in the Super Bowl on Feb. 9, and sportsbooks already hope for an Eagles-Chiefs rematch of two seasons ago.
FanDuel Canada lists the Philadelphia Eagles as the favorite to win Super Bowl LIX at +175, followed by the Kansas City Chiefs at +210, the Buffalo Bills at +250, and the Washington Commanders at +850.
However, the online book has the Chiefs as 1.5-point favorites over the Eagles in a hypothetical matchup.
