I agree.  I don't understand and like to think he was dealing with some undesclosed injury.  However, he is a top 10 offensive player (if not top 5) and the Oilers made it to game 7 in the cup final.   Experience is huge.  So, the Oilers should keep the whole cast (maybe get some defensive help) and see if they can get over the top.  However, Holland is leaving as GM and he will be hard to replace.  A new GM will want to put his stamp on the Oilers which is not what is needed.....    I am worried. 

Not as worried as Brandon having the nuclear codes.  That is scarier. 

This game is weird.  14 points in the first 4 minutes of the game and then 11 points since then at almost the halfway point in the 3rd quarter.

I was looking over today's game and was surprised with the line.  Sask is 3-0 and is coming off a bye.  They are playing their second string quarterback but it looks like he might be able to ball.  Mace knows Toronto, especially their D so he will know the areas for Shea to exploit.  Toronto gets rid of 2 on D and pick up 3 new guys.  None of them seem great and wonder if they will get lost playing the Canadian game on their national holiday? 

 Therefore, I am taking Sask points.

I think Sask came out flat.  Maybe too much time off. 

Game looks pretty even so unless someone convinces me otherwise, no second half bet.

My bet looks pretty good but with all the brothers on Sask ML, what the hell was Mace thinking when he almost went for it needing 3 yards in the redzone when they were only up by 7.     Good thing someone on the sidelines could do the math and Mace called timeout to kick the field goal.  That was close.  Rookie head coach almost fuked up big time by listening to linemen wanting to go for it.  Mace needs to be better than that. 

Congrats Sask backers.  Especially the guys with bigger balls than me to take Sask ML.

 It was only a couple weeks ago that I was 3-7

I was reading a thread in the MLB forum where the poster was saying he was going to overthink this....  He won and looking at his history, he seemed to have his poop in a group (winner).  I will take that sentiment with my play today and also apply it to the amount I wager.  I think this is a good opportunity but as taught by another capper, Straighbets, I will make the same wager I always do so I don't hurt myself if I am wrong.  I am now a little ahead but with all the juice, not much.  It feels better and is good for the confidence when the ledger is in the green. 

So the "Leverler" Streveler is starting for the 0-3 Bombers?  Collars didn't even practice () and is not even dressed with a thorax injury.  It sounds like he could have dressed or even played but the coach wants him to sit out and just watch.  Get a different prespective.  Learn.  Regroup.  Streveler is an exciting wrecking ball.  Fearless.  He is kind of like Matt Dunigan which most people who aren't as old as me will not remember.  Matt was wreckless hence all his concussions.  Streveler left the Bombers when Collaras came aboard and lead the Bombers to win their first Grey cup in 28 years.  He went to the NFL to work as a practice rooster kind of guy but being around the higher calibre players like Aaron Rodgers, Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray and Tua Tagovailoa, should have helped him develop.  At least you would think.  He did throw Bombers first TD last week but he also threw a pick that eventually cost the bombers the game.  He was hit as he was throwing so really not due to a bad decision but rather just bad luck.  Kind of like losing your job due to someone else better coming along.  Bad luck.  Is Streveler a bad luck kind of guy?  Dru Brown has a little better luck.  He too was Collaras backup but was rewarded by Ottawa with a contract and a starting job going 2-1.  Not too shabby considering it is Ottawa who sucks balls.  The 2 wins were in Ottawa and now Dru has to face the Winnipeg fan after beating the Bombers in Week 2. 

Winnipeg's offence isn't even scoring 19 points a game (average).  Defence is averaging 24.5 which isn't horrible but not like the great defence Winnipeg had.  The blame has to be the offence for Winnipeg's struggles according to stats.  Stats are for suckers though (starting to sound like Biden's made up version of Trump).  The bombers defence has only 4 take-a-ways and only 3 quarterback sacks.  That is not Winnipeg football!  The good news for Winnipeg is that they only lost last three games by 2 to 3 points.  Still, a loss is a loss even if 2 of the losses were to the best team in the East and the best in the West.  Today we are talking about Ottawa which should amount to practice for Winnipeg.  If Winnipeg can't get this win, their season is over and they know it.  The last time they went 0-5 the season didn't end well.

I am hyped for "the wrecking ball" to start in front of fans who totally love him.  I might be a little too hyped considering Lawler and Olivera is still out of action and their defence is ranked sixth when they are accustomed to being number 1 (which is Montreal and Toronto 2nd).  So even though I strongly believe Winnipeg will take care of business, I will bet my usual wager (straight bets are the key to healthy bankrolls).  Tempting to go all in but we are smarter than that, aren't we?  After all, my teaser parlay of +4.5 coupled with Sask win is still in play.  Therefore, in all honesty, I am just trying to pad the stats after falling into a hole that I just got out of.  Kind of like that other guy who is in a bigger hole but I offer no encouragement or anything and actually hopes he (no name since I am against WAR) stays out of my thread due to pride since he demanded the same from me.  People surprise you sometimes and so can a game so tread lightly with every wager.  Lots of football left.

Well I am off to Mass, then to do a small job for customer, then pick up my 20L keg for the keganator, then back to feast and watch the game.  Great day to be alive considering the amount of days are getting shorter.....

Ottawa's reciever, Ackland, played in the NFL for the Ravens and just came off a concussion.  He humbly stated with a sense of humor: “It was a little weird because I didn’t feel I was concussed,” Acklin said Wednesday, before joking that “I was just as stupid as I was before."  Now that is funny and the self deprecating humour is one I can relate too.  I am a fan. 

There are a couple of things that scares me about this game.  One being that Ottawa has the fewest sack allowed and Brown likes hanging out with his linemen rather than receivers.  The receivers respect him but the linemen love him.  The second thing that scares me as much as scaring apposing teams is Dedmond.  That guy is special when returning a kick.  I would prefer if Winnipeg didn't have to kick to him tonight because you know with Dedmond, Ottawa will get good field position to start drive.

Ottawa has confidence and chemistry in the locker room.  Winnipeg's confidence is shaken somewhat but they haven't lost faith in one another.  I think this is going to be a close game.  Sunny tonight with temperatures around 24 degrees making it a beautiful night for football.  Instead of gatorade, I think the teams should have cold kegs of beers to quench players thirsts during the game.  Would that be fun to watch?  Anyways, as of right now, Ottawa is the better team IMHO but Winnipeg is at home and really really needs the win.    I think this game gets decide by a field goal either way.  Hopefully, Winnipeg wins it with a last second field goal so Ottawa can still walk away proud and with respect.  The line moved from -2 to -3 which means money is coming in on Winnipeg which is a good sign for my bet but after checking out Ottawa news sources, I am not as sure as I was a few hours ago.  Did Ottawa turn the corner and did old man time catch up with Winnipeg??

I don't like doing this and always regret it but I am going to hedge a little with the first added bet.  I am adding:

I probably going to regret adding which could possible take me under .500 if I loose all 4.  So I am and like Ackland, possibly stupid.

If the second half mirrors the first then the total will be 32 and a loss for me.  Streveler can't throw the ball.  No skill chucking the rock.  He is not starter calibre.  I was wrong thinking he might have learned something in the NFL.  I was wrong thinking Olivera was out too.  He is a beast but Demski is being under utilized since Streveler has NO SKILL throwing the ball.

I got 4 bets in play right now and 2 are looking good and the overs teasers look bad. 

Seeing how crappy Streveler is and with comeback crumb now in.  I am adding Ottawa +10  -110 for the second half.  I am hoping.... no praying that the peg wins by 3 to 9 points. 

Second half starts with Ottawa runing, then running, then running.  WTF?  Weather is perfect and Ottawa is behind, so why are they running every down.  Somebody put the call in that Pirate needs some points....

I stopped hearing the announcers because the tick- tock of the clock is too loud. 

Now a turn over for Winnipeg and we know they are going to run.  I should have took the under for second half. 

Somebody tell coach that Demski is in the game and has pretty good hands.  If I was Demski, I would be pissed.

Do we even see a passing TD this game?  That should have been available at my book since I might have taken it. 

Half way through the 3rd and only 3 points scored.  Buck Pierce needs a smack upside the head because he is stuck like a skipping record playing the run.... skip, run... skip, run.  What about the other players Pierce?  Are they not any good?  When does play action start?  You suck Buck!!!

Nice drive Crum.  They mixed up the playbook unlike Winnipeg.  I now hope Ottawa stops the Winnipeg run game next series so maybe Pierce will turn the page in the playbook.  Maybe Winnipeg should be evaluating Buck's play calling.  Tonight, Buck sucks.  I mean, Peg is ahead but everyone can feel that Winnipeg is going to implode by only running.  I watched NE do it where they only threw the ball 3 times and won.  Problem is, Winnipeg is not NE
