I would say that more than half of my plays involve Big XII teams as I focus more on that conference than anything. One play that I thought was off this past weekend (which I turned out to be right on) was KSU -12. I see another one that could potentially fall into that category today is KU -4 at Baylor. I realize Baylor has a lot of talent and that KU has been struggling, but this is a very poorly coached BU team in my opinion. Anytime they have played someone decent, they have lost and this is by far the best team they have played to date. Do you have any thoughts on this one?
Baylor's home court is worth quite a bit. As far as the coaching, I can agree to Drew to an extent. He needs to run more with this current group he's put together, and the team will benefit from it. Could happen tonight. I don't think it's a matter of Kansas struggling lately, they've played some tough defenses and come away with wins. Now they play their fourth tough defense in a row. I'm eager to see how they compete on the road after going against the grind it out defenses of Iowa State and Nebraska back-to-back. Could be a tough chore. As for laying the chalk, I couldn't do it.

I like K. St. in this matchup as well and will probably ride them today.... but their damn FT shooting (lack therof) makes me want to throw very large, hard objects at my television.....

Maybe but one of the freshmen would have to step up big time in order to do so. He is our leading scorer, 2nd leading rebounder, and our second best defender.

2) Read offseason stuff the most. Just my style. If I can get a read on a majority of these teams prior to any of them even touching a basketball or playing a game, I have a better feeling for what holds value and what doesn't.
3) Local papers help a bit in terms of searching for key items (motivation, emotion, etc...)
Biggest thing overlooked by majority?
4) Coaches
GL
Great. Thanks.
Coaches, yes! So important. As motivators, pre-game preparation and in-game mangers. I've played and coached a little myself.
