My NCAA stuff is posted in another thread. I like betting the smaller tournaments as there is much more opportunity to find soft lines, especially if you can anticipate which teams are interested in playing and which ones have mailed it in for the year.
One grab at the open. Added another unit a little bit ago
UMASS +7.5 @ Mississippi State (1 unit) UMASS +7 @ Mississippi State (1 unit) Classic case of a team happy to be playing versus one very disappointed to having been left out of the NCAA field. Thinking back to the beginning of the season, Mississippi State was considered a surefire NCAA team loaded with talent and capable of challenging for the SEC crown. Things looked good early, but the wheels came off in the second half of the SEC season as the traditional Mississippi State warts (lack of cohesion, infighting, malaise) came to the forefront. They'll welcome in UMASS, who at this point in the season has probably been watched a handful of times by most of the betting public. Their style is extremely unorthodox and difficult to prepare for. It's based on pressing, trapping, and shooting threes. Not all that different from the other "40 Minutes of Hell" type teams, except that Chaz Williams is a very unusual point guard. End to end, he's probably the fastest player in college basketball. UMASS had low expectations coming into the season but their guys have overachieved thanks to Coach Kellogg's persistence in installing the dribble-drive offense he learned while playing for Coach Calipari in the mid-1990's. Point is, Mississippi State hasn't seen a style like this all season, and considering how tough it is to adjust to UMASS under the best circumstances, I don't see how the Bulldogs pull themselves together for this game. There's just too much disappointment in Starkville right now. The fan base is completely disinterested and the team lacks heart and desire. I'll take my chances that Mississippi State has in fact mailed it in for the year.

It's a shame with all that wasted talent at Miss State, I feel there HC should get his walking papers for not getting these guy's to buy in. This team lost to Georgia two weeks ago, R Sindney should be ashamed of himself. 280lbs, and he is called like an All-World Big Man and he plays like a little bitch who's not even in shape. He can't play more than 5 minute streches

Hello Im sure you had a nice weekend. I am interested in this Lasalle team and I know you know this team. What I find interesting is they started the year in conf hot played Temple twice tough beat UMass twice and beat St. Bonnie. Looks like a tough team that can win a game if its close. Im liking them against Minny.
Great interview with Brad Stevens involving Mid Majors against the Big 6 Conferences. All season the Mid Majors fight hard in there conf and when they make the tournament the pressure is off and alot more on the Big Conf especially as the rounds get less. Thought it made alot of sense and spoken from a man who would definately know.

As far as Sidney goes, this is about the worst matchup for him in the entire country. UMASS' style turns games into frenetic track meets and he doesn't have the endurance to compete in such an affair. Moultrie will be a factor, but Sidney is unlikely to do a whole lot.

game may get delayed for paramedics to come scoop Sidney off the court from cardiac arrest against UMASS......they will bury him like he much deserves................I have said it countless times before, I LOST RESPECT for Miss ST when they didnt permanently kick him off the team for the incident with him fighting in the bleachers with a teammate at that tournament................Everytime they lose it does my heart good

Dee Bost said earlier last week that he didn't even want to play in the NIT. Of course now he has changed his tune, but this team is a cancer. None of the players respect their coach and they are all looking forward to life after MSU. Don't be surprised if this is Stansbury's last game at MSU as well.
There will be NO fans there tonight.

Jfen always appreciate the insight you bring. If you do a NCAA bracket would you post it? or send it to me please? I would love to have a glance at it. Thanks again and good luck and continued success.
