I just can't get the image of South Carolina Head Coach Shane Beamer getting doused with Mayonnaise last year after the Gamecocks won the Duke's Mayo Bowl. What a scene and it kind of set the tone for success at this program. One year later the Gamecocks are back in a Bowl Game and playing a pretty big name opponent. Notre Dame comes into this game having had quite the up and down season under Head Coach Marcus Freeman but I will say they were pretty competitive and once they bought in they did win 8 games. Opt outs are an issue though. The Irish lose almost their entire pass rush group. TE Michael Mayer is probably the biggest loss because he is such a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. EDGE Isaiah Foskey who had 12 sacks this season is also out. More on the opt outs and injuries in a bit. South Carolina also has opt out and injury concerns but QB Spencer Rattler is playing and the Gamecocks won 7 of their last 9 games coming into the Bowl Season and destroyed playoff hopes for both Clemson and Tennessee. Impressive. The Gamecocks have now won 6 of their last 8 Bowl Games and they are always in for good fight.
Alright back to the opt outs. Who is playing quarterback for Notre Dame in this one? South Carolina has the #27 ranked pass defense in the Country and even though they can't stop the run, their offense will do enough to force the Fighting Irish into throwing the ball. My questions remains the same. Who will be throwing it? QB Drew Pyne is transferring out of town, backup QB Tyler Buchner who was starter earlier this year is almost back from injury that has forced him to the sideliness since September but I don't think he's ready to play. That leaves third string QB Steve Angeli who has not thrown a pass all season. If that's your kind of team to back then go ahead. Not mine. This is the Spencer Rattler show and even if some of his weapons are not playing in this game he will dictate how this game plays out.
If you go back and look at games Notre Dame has played in December it has not gone well for them and they are 2-5 ATS in their last seven. South Carolina is 5-1 ATS in their last six Bowl Games and they come into this game with some belief after winning the Duke's Mayo Bowl last season. The Gamecocks are also 7-2 ATS in their last nine games played on a Neutral Site and they are 4-1 ATS in their last five games versus non-conference opponents. Rattler has been really good this season and the Gamecocks have not been shy against big time programs like Tennessee and Clemson. I don't see that changing here and actually see South Carolina winning this game.

Tonight Tennessee will roll. I am taking points and playing money line. I live a few miles from UT stadium, I have a pulse on vols football. Hooked and Hyatt are out. 2 huge weapons but make no mistake they still have plenty of firepower. Also Milton has a Canon of an arm so if he can be accurate no problem at QB. We have a freshman that will take Hyatts place tonight, the nation will be introduced to him tonight....pure stud...Tennessee will drop 60 on Clemson tonight.

I pray that Phil is gonna do what I think he's gonna do......Tell all of ya, "Bite me, you're welcome for the plays I've posted. But now you're on your own". Good for you Phil, these guys on this forum have chased away any and every good capper on here for years and nothing has changed. This forum is just a slow death and waste of time. Good luck.
