I cant stop laughing at everyone looking at who they played last year. Put the shoe on the other foot, Ohio played only 2 teams with a slightly average Qb last year. Bowling Green( lost 26-14) & Ball state ( lost 52-27). How do you think they match up with the best QB in the nation?

5dimes and many other respected books opened up at 20 or 21...

either way it doesnt matter, the public forgets all 12 games that were played on regional ESPNU or Big East network and only remember the 1 game played on Nat'l tv, over 200 days ago...the butt pounding of florida. 

overall, this team was mediocre against the spread and played very poor football overall. they were lucky to win 7 of the games they won.

they lost somehting like 50 starts due to injury...they werent even the same team as the one that starte 7-0...THEN they get everyone healthy and whoop ULM asss on the independance bowl.

Ohio has 89% of its total offensive yards returning. 
Louisville has 76%

Ohio has 57 career OL starts returning
louisville has 64

Ohio lost 44 starts last year due to injury
louisville lost 22


this line is a joke...these teams are evenly matched. teddy might go off...but he might play poorly too. and ohio could WIN! the 21 should not be in question.

Well, if Betonline said Ohio is only a 16-point dog....or at least thought they were, and now I can get 21 or 21.5...........seems like there is only one play for me.

That or they played cup cake teams to start 7-0. Never played a good Qb. Now they got the best in the nation coming in hot. All the stats are skewed because they play Akron, New Mexico st and a bunch of teams who stink. Teddy is going to put up 50

That was for the guy who said the line should be like 14. I was indicated that oddsmakers in Vegas originally pegged it as that.

Best QB in the nation?? whoa slow down there guy he hasnt even played a game this year yet. This is exactly what we mean when we say overrated, people are already lining up to give him the heisman and he hasnt done garbage yet.

Who said anything about him lining up to win the Hiesman? He's the best overall QB. Arm, Accuarcy, and reading defenses, but he just don't run around like other college qbs. No doubt he will torch ohios defense. Even if you don't think he's the best, you can't argue he's not elite, and that's why -21. Elite Qb vs a MAC defense

which ever team is on the positive side of turnovers will win this game ATS. I think Ohio can and will definitely score. Louisville's defense will stop Ohio and their offense will score but to cover the spread I think they will need to be +2 on take aways which will ultimately lead to points off of turnovers which will lead to a cover

i already did. if you view my thread, you will see that i have been locked in on ohio +16 since 6/17, and since aug 2nd i locked in on ohio +21, and again got the 5dimes opener which was 26.

i have 3 units on this game, all at different numbers. 
ohio losing by 26 or less will net me -1.2 units. 
a 21 pt loss or less will net me 0.9u 
a 16pt loss or less will net me 3.0 units.

JD, your so right about this...

ohio was 7-0 last year before being riddled with injuries on the offensive and defensive line.


louisville is good, BUT they were a few bad breaks away from being 7-5 and playing in the liberty bowl. remember, they were 15 point dogs to florida and blew them out badly, and i feel this line is severe overreaction to that sugar bowl game.

could louisville win 44-7? sure. could they win 34-31? sure.

i just think the smashmouth style of ohio will keep this game close. ohio is loaded with seniors that are very experienced. they have a great RB in beau blankenship, and good dual threat QB in tyler tettleton. they are well coached by solich, and one other thing.

what if louisville would have been blown out by florida. lets say 52-17. would we be hyping them? would they be ranked in the T10? would they be 21pt faves? ill answer that...NO, No, and No way.

i think its public overreaction, book overreaction, espn overreaction.

i think this line should be -11. no more, no less.

i think ohio hangs.

we learned time and time again LY that louisville should NOT be a double digit fave, or a DD dogg,

ive been wrong before, and ill be wrong again, but ill have to pay to see louisville win a game by 21+ vs a very salty ohio squad.
 
handicapping wise I know you are right. Of course watch us get blown out and lose all face. But Ohio is good.. Lou. won so many games by 3 - 10 points last year to Big east garbage... Lou. will be all worn out from pumping it up early. How many personal foul pen. will they have...
 
Still love the ohio over 19 as my best bet in this one... Can see ohio D giving up early points and Ohio scoring second half at least 3 TDs...
