IMO the only way it impacts the game is by slowing down Navy's rushing attack... you would think Navy would be better off in the water... well NOT SO FAST my friend!
Navy is great at what they do, but the SD St defense is solid, and their offense moves the ball FAST. Sometimes teams like Navy frustrate them by keeping the offense off the field for a long time, but I think SD St's defense will make a lot of stops, making it a very long night for the Midshipmen.
I kind of see this angle too - also - the Navy attack requires a lot of ball control with pitches and long handoffs - and with a wet ball it might have more of a negative effect on their ground attack than at first glance....

I was all over Boise last night. Got the cover 1st half, and a tease to the under, plus the second half.
That being said......I should have lost everything! I never saw so many easy passes dropped by one team in one night. Thank you UTAH for putting butter on your fingers for the game.
Both sides had lots of "coulda, shoulda, woulda" - you can count many instances where either side should have covered easily. It was just a very strange game. Dont forget the Boise dropped TD pass, the blocked FG etc - there were plenty......

Navy always fucks me. Let's get a turnover edge and win this thing by a few touchdowns.
Van, are you taking the Panthers tonight? You should. The 'Lers are a virtual lock to win, but 15 is a ton with O-line struggles and no Polamalu. 10 Panther points should be enough for an ATS win in my opinion.

I naturally lean towards any DD dog in NFL - but have a really hard time betting Carolina.
Carolina's offense is offensive. I was leaning towards them tonight but I just cant bring myself to bet on a team that cant score, or really even come close.
Im not trying to talk you off of your bet, gun to my head I would be on Carolina too - just not interested in another Utah vs Boise game, hoping to get to 10 points.....

Hey Cooler what are you playing tonight on the Navy+3 or SanDiego-3. I'd rather listen to you since you got last nights picks right.
I'm all over SDSU....simply said...if they get behind, they can catch up. Navy gets behind, there one dimentional, and will have a very difficult time compared to SDSU. Also like them on the ML..GL on whatever you choose. It will be a battle

Stop with the bullshit lateral to set up a throw, stop the screens, just run the ball or drop back and pass. Lindley has all day, and he has wide open receivers.
Stop trying to be so cute with it.

SDST can throw downfield at will.

Agree. Also they gave up two long passes on 3rd and long.
Never understood being up two scores getting beat over the top.

First drive after HT, they are running at will, and on 2nd and 7 they try a 50 yard pass. They dont need to do this. Just keep running, and dropping back and throwing to 10 yard open receivers ALL NIGHT.
So frustrating.

Vanzack - interested in your opinion on Hawaii -6.5 1st half. I am fearing the backdoor cover on Hawaii -10, so looking more into 1st half.
Great thread - glad to see your leaning with Hawaii.
It doesn't sound like Tulsa is enjoying a vacation on the island. Coaches like the teams preparation and they have been embracing the "us against the world" approach. Something tells me this is the first dog to bark but Tulsa +10 has lost some value. Hawaii is a good football team, but there should at least be a backdoor opportunity here
