I think the oddsmakers would have completely changed this line had they known 3-4 of San Jose State's best players and the OC and DC were out today.

If I were in Vegas that ML on Ball State would have been awesome at +260 or so...

yeah i mean there was a late line move 3 points or so.. total went up late i assume folks betting that up pretty hard hence my late play... but agree if all cards on the table think folks generally more skep/ diff line for sure... but SJ still a fav ... Sparty such an enormous darling and ball was a real 'fade the mac' poster child coming in i just dont think it woulda made a LARGE diff in opening lines SJ still be layin pts 4.5 or so.. still get high 50's total im sure bet up into low 60's pre kick.... just a matchup w alot of built in assumptions and wow was there a tight lid on the bad news which was unfortunate for i assume most of those with side action...  maybe full roster w coaches makes all the diff but idk, maybe not too much .. SJ with weirdest practice situation all yr away from home isolated out in vegas eatin n sleepin football w the teammates 24-7.. then sweep the MW in most improbable cinderella season and beat up boise st to be champions .. team goes home to bay area for 2.5 weeks ... season over.. im sure just lovin life.. got ball state in a bowl  ..boring zzz... Ball same deal but couldnt have had nearly the same disruption and prob reading all about what a dud fade they were supposed to be .... one team covid frree ready to play ... one turned back into a pumpkin..... tough to predict that outcome... if SJ played em like boise st think its in neighborhood of scores reversed ...think total under is still solid play w 2 good defenses on the field and SJ offense grinding clock late...

opposite sitch w FAU ly... coaches gone best players opt out ton of suspensions lotta backups playing... all very well publicized and line only moved 4 pts or so ... FAU of course BEAT THE CRAP outta total darling SMU .... very hard to predict that one too.. and i remember it very well cuz i got burned yuuuge...  would just say be super skep in bowl season of all teams esp layin pts w the darlings.. bookies aint gunna freak you out get you to stop betting a loser .if they want to change your perception of a team youll know ... OU/UF ... 10+++ pt swing got everyone's attn real fast...

Totally agree... i think people had time to see all that Florida was missing AND losing SEC Championship. I was a hard pass on that game until I saw Best TE in country out, #1-#4 receivers out... then a few of their better Defenders in a shitty D.... that was easy money. (I got it the night before at -3.5)

San Jose St. hid that really well until the last moment. Not enough time but if that news goes out 1-2 days before.. i bet that line goes down to -3 or even. I had no skin in the game personally but I would have been all over Ball State ML with that knowledge. I don't know small schools well enough for standard bets but I do know to kick a team when it's down : )

I had Texas, then Oklahoma.

Now that money has rolled into Alabama 1st H and Texas AM.

Took OSU +8 this AM... Cant exactly call it a BP since now down to 7.. looking to middle w i think some expected Buckeye Bucks coming down i mean all things equal we've seen bama vs 2 great O's this year and neither of those had a TOTAL BEAST to unleash like CHURCH SERMON... hope we get this line down a bit... maybe see 4.5-6 if all good news outta Buckeye camp / no covids new injuries... double check x-rays and still not showing shattered rib cages, etc... will middle out or hit bama ML if its reasonable... not wayyy over juiced like last game...

Offish play maybe if we get Bama at the lower spot .... still thinkin... could also be bama H1 at a better price .. 2.5 or 3 maybe?.... 

Wrote some thoughts in another thread but think shot on Fields has some ripple effects in this game... poor practice for sure but any lingering limited mobility of any kind or just change in game plan / play calling makes that risk go way up... noticeably different after that hit even if he was still able to drop bombs.... that EPIC performance sure makes layin over a TD w Bama a scary proposition eh?....
