CONF CHAMP PARLAY

UGA, CLEM, WISCO 43-1 (FAN)

FD with the SEC, B10 and ACC up now and why not have a little fun with it since they let you combine them .. We're playing for the potential to hedge out a payday champ game weekend and Wisco at 6.5-1 is the kicker that helps us do that .. Its possible someone else squeezes in here, I think Minny will have a surprisingly good offense and last game in Minny could be a decider .. Wouldn't count ILL out of anything but I don't think they'll be better this year overall and the downside losing chase brown the QB and some of those guys on D and DC Walters is considerable .. Iowa has MAJOR problems w their WR's group again and still no sign of Macnamera for their spring game and I'll just say they really really need him this year .. badly .. Added notes on UGA and Clem too but I think all make the champ game pretty easy and we're in a great position odds-wise to lock in a payday and if not we won't get stung trying to have a little fun.. 

UGA at +105 maybe seems like thin odds but I think we've got an even more dangerous offense with the QB change and maybe even the OC change to Bobo, while not what the fans wanted, might be helpful since Monken might have been more/less auditioning for the NFL with fancy offensive sets and play design and almost wonder if that led to some of the stalling out they've had in games over the years .. like LY vs Mizzoo or UK or even in the Tenn game basically had stetson taking the top off the D for 3 quick scores and just kinda hit and miss after that trying to draw out long drives, etc .. anyway think the catastrophic failure they need to not win it again is just too much and would recomment UGA added to any such Conf champ parlay .. 

Clem odds aren't great but w FSU ahead of them we're getting better than expected and its a major advantage to the Tigers getting that game at home .. I like FSU but just peering down both rosters we see the vast experience and production but the talent diff is still massive, Clem bringing in basically 3 5-star or very very near FR DL's who went beast in the spring game and I don't think they skip a beat on the DL even w the big name NFL losses .. They have another good TE to replace the one they lost too and the O had an instant spark playing w Klubnik LY and Lincoln Riley Jr coming in from TCU as the new OC seems like a home run hire .. think Clem is def back in the saddle this year and maybe have to beat FSU in the champ game but maybe not .. their D was not squared away LY and the O was awesome but not unstoppable by any means .. 

I remember back in 2020 Fields and Ohio State were pummeling the Spartans and in comes CJ Stroud. Lets see what this kid has. He goes back to pass, scrambles right and then runs 48yds for a td. Damn, I thought. This kid can run too! And they never turned him loose until the Georgia game two years later!!??? Thought at first they were playing it safe as there was a dropoff after Stroud. And I really thought they would have turned him loose vs Wolv's both 2021 and last year. Never did. Maybe afraid of injury?? Who knows.

GAMES OF THE YEAR (GoY)

Might as well post what we got so far iterated most of these in the thread or in one of the other ones, just lazy .. added a few new ones .. all from FD, DK has a nice group of games out and a few I'd get down on but I'm on their terror list so just have to wait .. just for reference smaller is ~half what a BP is .. and these are definitely not the biggest BP's lol ..

FD lets us do same team GoY parlays but only fading which is the best way IMO to do that is find a team that would really fall apart if they lost their starting QB and focus the fade toward late in the year if possible .. among the popular teams I think a QB loss would be a huge problem for Bama, Mich, ND, FSU and im guessing PSU also .. 

GoY PARLAY
BAMA FADE: TEX +7.5, @A&M+8.5, TENN+8.5, LSU+8.5 .. 12-1
Just a fade of what I think Milroe can do for them as a QB, Bama's D is gunna be lights out but there is just nothing to like about laying over a TD with bama on any of these games .. the problem of course is that bama is maybe the most top to bottom talented team this year and its tough to imagine they don't get their hooks into a single one of these teams for a big win .. but catching over a TD and think its worth it for a few fun bucks .. I'd def consider playing Texas in the GoY's but odds at -115 and not really interested in laying odds this early .. might hit A&M as well smaller .. 

FYI, Sparties QB Payton Thorne and WR Keon Coleman along with cornerback Charles Brantley have entered the portal.

Thorne appeared to be the leading QB in spring ball. Coleman is, IMO, really good. The 6-4, 215 lb WR has a future.

Big losses for Sparty!! Gonna watch where Coleman goes.

Yeah a few teams getting throttled at the last minute .. Not easy to get a read on all the key moves but no way Thorne wasnt Qb1 .. maybe he and the others are just searchin for Nil riches but weird timing for that unless its lined up already, maybe the case .. but leaving on the last day just seems like more of a concern about the team situation or their production this yr id buy that for sure .. same for xavier henderson at UF top WR checks his watch after the spring game and sees its def time to leave .. seems tough to spin any of these into a positive ..

FLA STATE / LSU -1 (FAN)

Its avail at a pk'em at other spots but I cant get down on it so enjoy .. Big picture we had a total battle LY and I toldja FSU +3 because of the tigers new coaches and new players would prob not be running at full throttle in the opener .. and got a lil lucky w LSU losing Maason Smith early on .. Boutte gave his max crybaby effort .. somehow the Noles nearly coached themselves into a loss but the read was right Noles clearly showed up the best team catching a free Fg ..

Not the story this yr should be no lack of star power and coordination for the Tigers .. WR group looks great w Nabors and Lacy and a few wildcards like super speedster Hilton might be big surprises .. very dynamic Qb room and Nuss might be the best w injuries delaying his progress so far.. D line is maybe champ grade w smith back, Harold Perkins skipped the typical break out Fr yr, looks like Will Anderson already .. Omar Speights from oreg st is a great add and add some very good DB's .. maybe not champ level depth but not worried for gm 1..

Obvi lot to like w FSU's ret pro and depth .. some elite dudes and many other stars but idk if any unit is truly elite even if most do seem very good .. id say barring a total fluke result if Noles beat LSU in this gm then no reason they cant beat nearly everyone in the SEC and I just dont think theyre on that level .. it is a favorable HFA in Orlando but i dont think it'll be a pure home crowd and should be LSU by 3 or 4 if they show up as good as I suspect.. Were getting a deal because of FSU's massive pre ssn profile plus the W LY .. think its the best line we're gunna get and much rather have -1 than where i'd make it .. good luck!!

Word up yeah obvi cant really say LSU is a monster fav in this one w a supposed home field for the noles and crap load of playmakers, could go +1 in flukey plays and it just ends up being their night .. but if Noles are really a 50/50 ball vs them then I'll buy the hype .. BoL with some GOY's up now, looks like a similar complement to what DK has .. hit LSU as a pick'em there and im done w that one now, woop!!

BRIDGE PLAY

ARKY @ BAMA -18

Arkansas had a real panic on their hands over the bowl season w guys dropping on em left and right not to mention losing Barry Odom and then Kendall Briles snuck out real late in the coaching carousel cycle .. Briles loss was not just a ding we almost have to interpret the move as someone jumpin ship .. Bama churns out the coordinators too and did again this year but feel pretty good about their hires .. Ark getting Enos back at OC is capable but doubt they'll be a top offense like the one year he had w the hogs back in '15 .. Really not impressed with what he did at MD last year thought it coulda been man moment machine for that offense and turned out to be more of a clunker .. really not sure about the DC, tough to replace Odom who like Ole Miss was running a 3-2-6 .. Williams is changing back to 4 man and Ark already short on DT's went into spring ball reallllly thin at that spot .. since landed a big dude from MD but woulda felt better if they landed an SEC beast like Bear Alexander .. Williams otherwise inherits a pretty questionable D that lost a couple great LB's .. Really don't love the prognosis in general for the Hogs, lot to not like IMO ..  

Bama has their questions at QB of course which didn't at all get answered adding Tyler Buchner, Tommy Rees's ND QB dud .. but this doesn't feel like the game where QB problems rear their heads, think Bama will be fine moving the ball and superior at every position in this game even at QB considering KJ might be running for his life again .. Bama's D looks top to bottom insanely strong and think Saban will remember how the Hogs came back late last year on em and try to leave no doubt this year ..

The spot maybe looks a little tenuous for Bama, they'll be off B2B roadies to Miss State and A&M and have Tenn on deck so it kinda seems like maybe down spot ..  I could def see Bama's offense struggle @ A&M and if so best believe there's a Saban Spankin gunna be layed down before the big Vols rematch .. really have to hate the spot for Arkanas they have 2 tune up games before BYU at home followed by technically 4 straight road games @LSU, A&M(N), @Ole Miss and ending in Tuscaloosa .. next week is home vs Miss State but Bulldogs will be fresh off a bye .. I think if yer Arkey and looking to make a bowl you might want to pick your spots over the course of the MASSIVE early gauntlet, theres def a winnable game or two in there .. sorta .. Def not wanting to lay big points w Bama here or anywhere but saw the spot in the schedule and had it marked as a play, obvi possible we get a better line if Bama caves to the horns or A&M but think its maybe more likely Arkey looks pretty beat up by this game and if folks sense a barn burner comin no reason Bama isin't laying above 3 TD's here... - Good luck!

USC @ OREG -2

Wash sounding like the roster is developing and good chance we see a decent leap for them on defense .. maybe a few guys hit the portal but in their case it actually seems like good sign .. Not as much intel on Oregon but I don't see many glaring holes on their roster either .. Also have some pretty good lead ins for both teams UW coming off ASU and @Stan should be ready to rock, Oreg will be off a homer vs Cal with a trip to Tempe on deck, not much distraction .. I'm not dying to fade USC but the main reason to fade is the Trojans have a pretty insane back end of their schedule IMO .. they get a bye in week 3 and maybe easy at first but steady ramps up to insane levels quick going @COLO, UA, @ND, UTES, @CAL, WASH, @OREG, UCLA .. that trip to Cal actually seems like a huge trap spot w da Bears off a bye and no doubt ready to throw a 'so long you MF'ers' goodbye punch before SC jets off to the B10 .. obvi everyone in the PAC will be winding up their best shot on the Trojans this year but Cal seems like a good time for a breather when its likely another bar fight .. wouldn't count UA as being an easy out either their offense makes them more than a little dangerous this yr .. So lead into UW will be 3 or 4 pretty rough games w that trip to Eugene on deck followed by the LA Bowl .. spot vs the Duckst maybe one of the nastiest on the entire CFB schedule this yr, particluarly for a team that's thinking about running the table .. maybe bumps to a BP if we can find it at a pick'em ..

SMALLER

MICH / OHIO STATE +3.5 (BoL)

Think the case is a good one for Mich to be laying points at this point in pre-ssn but its a long ways off and lotta ways the season could play out .. barring some major injury I think the downside is OSU is maybe 4.5 come kickoff, tough to see more than that unless OSU is really not put together well in their still questionable units .. obvi QB and OL aren't small questions and neither fully resolved so its possible they have deficiencies there .. but there's def a case for the bucks to be better than LY even losing Stroud and same for Mich too, the more I look at them more there is to like .. playing a game this far out need to consider some 'what happens if' a star go down on either team .. like the Bucks depth and they were tested on a few units LY from early in fall camp .. can't say how good any of the OSU QB's are yet but given the QB battle going on I suspect the bup is not a massive drop off .. think pretty significant drop if UM shows up w Tuttle .. think this likely shakes out closer to a pick'em or maybe bucks as slight dogs by kickoff and 3.5 will be the best line in pre-ssn, or at least the best we can make a real bet on .. good luck!

Didn't want to beleaguer the points on that game but actually have to mention in general it would be a dumb move to not consider the special teams situation and the status of any elite specialists .. SP+ model ignores ST's in the pre-ssn, or at least the ST column is not presented, and hard to imagine most shops are paying it much consideration because in most cases its not significant enough to make adjustments on .. but in this case Mich had a few elite specialists and were overall very much in the elite ST club.. they lose both the punter and kicker to the NFL draft (holy smokes!!!) .. think its also fair to say AJ Henning was well proven stud returner and he's sitting in the portal looking for more playing time .. OSU loses ruggles but keeps the star punter Mirco, didn't have a major star returner LY but Egbuka was not bad at PR and returns .. None of those things are a 'decider' in playing although I think it would be easy to look at that and decide not to lay 3.5 w Michigan .. 

Think we can look at the situation and say decent possibility for a much weaker ST unit at Mich TY which could just be them going from top 5 or so to merely top 25, where OSU was LY .. So easy to overlook that and while maybe doesn't matter in The Game, I'd say nearly every team has a few games that get tilted to a W or L by ST's each year .. ask your neighborhood buckeyes fan if that's true or not .. lol ..

I don't see the ssn wins on DK just games of the year  .. saw FD had a few and a few conf odds .. BR w the conf and divsions but im on the terror list there too like $3 max .. they actually let you parlay there so I'd recommend if you can hitting the conf champ parlay I did above w the better Wisco odds .. 10-1 is more/less around what I was thinking to make a play on it .. 

Yeah man we missed on the better T-Tech odds lol dang .. but never know you get a gander at their spring game I think its still quite a bit of Maverick: Crash n Burn .. not interested where its at now .. let's see if they run into trouble vs Oregon early see if we can grab a good number then .. gotta go to laramie week 1 and just a funny feeling they'll be off the next week at least to some degree .. still might romp tho lol ..

OHIO STATE / PENN ST +10.5

Massive game... anyone who saw the game LY had to be thinking 'nitneys gunna win this one' at a very late stage and impossible not to cover the +12 pt line .. remarkable unbelievable TOTAL FREAK ending got OSU the dub and the cover .. Love PSU's profile this yr and new QB 5-Star Allar should be ready to rock, dude is a monster at 6-5 240 and while we haven't seen him pitch a game yet he did see some action in nearly every game LY albeit very limited.. the D sounds very tough once again too .. Don't think there's many ways PSU is not coming into this game 6-0 and looking pretty solid w toughest games being WV and @ILL and the spot for the nitneys is pretty good have a bye then UMASS lead in and Indy on deck.. 2 weeks to prep, distraction free all around .. OSU will have MD, @Purd and have another massive game @Wisco on deck .. home field is big and clearly baked into the line.. OSU also plays a more rugged schedule leading in so if they are at all close @ND, @Purdue the week before which does look like a soft spot, then I doubt the Bucks will be over 10 heading into this one .. think maybe the downside is we get +11 or 12 but really hard to see a scenario w Bucks laying more than that after a real near miss LY and they haven't won by 2 TD's in this series since 2015.. given PSU's good profile and just a totally clear runway path into this game I think this will be 7.5 to 8.5 come game week which is also about where I'd make the line on this one ..

 This is a good point on Tech, the live odds are probably gonna be better. I mean Wyoming is no walk in the park with their returning production and physicality. I still will fire+1200, I think this the best chance for a non Texas, tcu-like team this year. 

On Wisconsin parlay, it would be to set up a big hedge with some "sure things" like Georgia?

Yeah I like that PSU pick, and the 2 big question marks at OSU (OT & QB at Stroud level) go against areas of strength for PSU. Alternatively not too worried about OSU defense dominating, though as you mention they covered last year almost single handedly due to Tuimoloau. I could see a close game for sure.

Yeah I don't at all think Wyoming is gunna pull a stunner on Tech like they did on Mizzoo although its hard to totally discount that idea .. I think the real risk is the week after I've seen enough teams fall apart the week after that trip to mark 'week after laramie' as a bad spot .. and fair to say that when tech isin't playing sharp things can get a bit ugly for them so very possible its mistake city and Oregon just romps in that spot .. hopefully odds move back, etc .. 

Conf champ parlay I think all those teams make it and really maybe only UGA is a sure thing to win looking at it now but by champ week we could see Clem as a decent fav as well, depends how that FSU game goes and if they're playing them again, etc .. really might just have to hedge wisco and I think were getting good odds for that .. BR says they're practically shoe ins for the division so most of the odds are baked into winning the champ game, pretty wide split for winning 1 game .. it was 42-1 with UW at 6-1 so at 10-1 someone else can potentially lock in a pretty awesome champ weekend payday assuming all our plinko chips fall in line .. idk could bomb but if it does it might be from like Minny squeeking in there .. an even better parlay!!! lol .. 

Yeah just not the year I'd hang a big number against PSU IMO .. could be wrong and its another ho-hummer of a year but Allar sounds like a total athletic beast, very possible QB could be a decent upgrade and that might not really be solidly in their PR yet .. only hangup is that Manny is a real gambler blitzing from all over .. creates plenty of mass havoc but can whiff big too .. would def consider ML odds if they're decent but its gunna be very tough to pull the W in columbus, I think ..

Czrs with their P5 RSW's up now ... pretty much all line up to the SP+ odds give or take half a game or a little more .. the ones that are adjusted by more than or are juiced heavily seem like good calls to me .. shux .. there's def a few I like but no major hum dingers .. Cuse is 6.5 +140 to the over -170 under .. can't go over 6.5 and can't go under w the heavy juice either .. theres a bunch that are stuck like that I assume its on purpose since they are the first totals to drop .. ugh .. 

CONF CHAMP FUTURES

Gettin a few of my long shots out the way .. 

ARIZONA 100-1 (BOL)

Its really tough to imagine these guys pull off such a shocker because we have a very strong group at the top this year at least in terms of PAC standards .. Easy to project USC and Oregon as at a min improved and possibly VERY improved .. we have Wash looking strong again building off last year .. Oregon State finally getting their just due after years of steady building up their team and they are legit darn good .. Utah w Cam Rising back is 4th at 6-1 .. UCLA took a major drop this year and they're at 16-1 .. Real crowded at the top and we had a few spots offering AZ at 50x for the conf .. couldn't do it .. alas we really need to find exorbitant odds .. 

I think the offense could be one of the best in the conference and I don't think the D needs to make much of a leap to turn the cats from a team that could pull a big upset on the right day to a legit dangerous group .. I got no inclination as to where the D will end up they made a few moves adding Justin Flowe and a couple others .. just saying it doesn't have to be Desert Swarm to do its part although that would certainly be nice lol .. The schedule sets up nice to crash n burn miserably or make a really fun run all the tough games sans USC are at home and all much more winnable stuff is almost all on the road .. it could go in a few directions including a few big surprises ..

GEORGIA TECH 200-1 (CZR)

Maybe cheap thrills and we crash n burn quick but really like the profile of a team throttled by injuries esp on offense LY changing the coaches and then absolutely lighting it up in the spring game thru the air, had multiple QB's back landing deep balls especially haynes king who looks like the guy for them but even the best guy LY who got injured looked pretty good in the new offense.. the D pitched a few bombs LY for sure but I count 8 decent enough games we can hang our hats on plus a real gems and they bring back enough guys that they could actually be building off their strengths and not just toiling around hit and miss rebuilding etc .. Its not gunna be a team that'll be favored in any champ game scenario but I don't think the schedule precludes an awesome run either ... get Ville in Atlanta to start the year and maybe they get surprised again ..  @Clem, @Miami, UNC, @Wake are the other tough games .. outside of Clem there's nothing unbeatable on the schedule .. FSU has a likely baked in loss @Clem and has a decently tough stretch Duke, @Wake, @Pitt, Miami and very possible they botch another game or 2 leaving the champ game door open .. think we will absolutely need the most insane odds we can get to hedge out a decent payday if the Jackets can pull off a minor miracle so def shop around ..

BRIDGE PLAY

COLO @ TCU -20 

Picked that up at Bol .. idk where the line is gunna go really depends on what Deion lands before fall camp im sure he'll keep reelin em in like the Gorton's Fisherman and maybe the gambling horde starts betting the line down at some point .. Buuuut ultimately I think it'll be apparent in fall camp that the Buffs won't be squared away by opening week and maybe line goes to 24 or more .. Even if Deion keeps filling the roster with top quality players there's still concerns when first time to go live wont be until fall camp and think the depth chart battles will stretch well into the season .. Sean Lewis' offense was fun in the mac and don't hate the hire but I hear the scheme is a bit complicated and with a lighting fast pace and a bunch of new guys its not unimaginable this doesn't snap together quickly .. also not unimaginable that half of the roster might need some major mile high conditioning in the Fall before they can even think about going live .. Prime is making some headway in the portal but the needs are still massive the starting point post spring for a few notable units were 5 OL's over 300LB's .. 4 DL's .. 1 DE .. they do have a few FR who might contribute but only 7 enrolled early, didn't include the 5 star CB or the couple other 4 star recruits .. 

TCU on the other hand has proven beyond all measure their ability to turn portal prospects into portal gems and create a legit team around them .. Frogs did have some MAJOR DUDES depart but my read on it is that they didn't get dinged that bad .. general sentiment is anyone off a miracle year takes a pretty ugly turn like LSU in 2020, or BYU in '21 ... or Michigan this year (lol jk Uniman!).. but QB was the big question and recall Morris won the QB battle LY over Duggan and according to some beat writers "it wasn't even close" .. Morris got hurt early on and the rest is history.. funny feeling he wants his own Natty run .. Only unit that looks really roughed up by departees is at DE they lose a pressure machine in Horton but nobody else really performed that well in the unit and nice grab w Rick D'Abreu from ECU, he'll recapture some of that lost production, still have some portal shopping to do at that position tho .. WR questions were really solved by the portal grabs they landed 5 guys, the room looks in great shape .. didn't have to reach at all for others landing former Bama 5 stars RB Trey Sanders and OL Tommy Brockermeyer, frogs got em lined up this year, straight up portal pimpin .. Think the diff w TCU and other post-miracle year teams is the coaching situation, lose Garrett Riley but then steal Briles and rest of the crew that drew up a huge winner in year 1 returns this year and that feels like a MAJOR advantage for them in this game .. 

Also maybe a bad spot for the Buffs I'd expect them to play starters as long as they can but anyone making mistakes will be easy to sub out and Deion will need to know what he has down the roster anyway great spot to do that on the road w no expectations .. on the flip side gotta really like this spot for the Frogs when all they've done for months is stew about their magic season ending a the most brutal dumpster fire in CFP history..  almost poetic that the first face they'll see is the 'We Comin' social media celebrity hot shot cowboy hat coach lol ... yeah everyone in the state will be on board w the Frogs making an example outta Deion in his first game and ripping these guys to shreds.. that said I wish Coach Prime luck after this game .. hoping they turn into a fun at some point later on this year .. REG SSN WINS

CINCY UNDER 5.5 -150 (CZRs)

Cincy was on my very early hit list and was a little surprised Czr's came out at the number and seeing Bol offering 4.5 under -130 makes it an easy call even w the ugly juice .. Cincy's offense got absolutely THROTTLED by the portal and NFL draft and kinda surprised they lost Ben Bryant to the portal .. especially seeing he went to ... northwestern!! .. (O)(O) .. he mighta been beat out by Emory Jones since Satterfield likes those running QB's idk but none of it sounds like a good situation .. another tell things werent going right is Fickel coulda easily had his pick of anyone to go w him to Wisco but he really didn't take that many, couple OL's and a WR ..... The receiver and TE situation got totally decimated, they did get some good news when touted youngster Ta'varish Dawson left Auburn and sounded like he was committed only to change his mind and go to Colorado .. WR Keyshawn Helton xferred in from FSU but is now OFY w a spring injury .. they have added some guys on O but sounds like they were totally dominated by their D in the spring game .. the D does have some parts to really like a few havoc machines in Dontay Corleone and other on the DL .. the big L is losing 'Crazy' Ivan Pace it'll be impossible to moneyball his production back into the lineup and lose alot of other LB's and key parts of the back 8 .. im sure they'll ve okay on D but that's kinda the sceanrio Houston was in LY w a heavy duty pass rush and not much else and the D got throttled most every game .. Cincy doesn't have the Clayton Tune to Nate Dell connection to keep them in games if the D isin't pitching a gem .. obvi the coaching situation can't be compared to Fickle and his crew .. just a confluence of tough situations and haven't even talked about their upgraded B12 schedule yet lol .. 

Cincy shouldn't have a prob w their FCS opener and Miami Ohio in week 3 SP+ says cincy by 3 TD's .. just gunna say that is a big Ohio rivalry for the 'victory bell' and after the Redhawks had a dud year plagued by QB injuries they actually project real well SP+ has em #2 in the MAC .. should also Miami enjoyed a massive lead in the rivalry series before Cincy rattled off 16 straight wins and now they're 1 game behind ... I doubt they've smelled this much blood in the water from the Bearcats in a real loooong time and funny feeling they show up looking for a massive equalizer because its very likely they fall behind permanently in the series after this year .. anyway fine maybe 2 easy wins but no free lunches after that .. @PITT, OKLA, IA.ST, BAY, @OK.ST, @BYU UCF, @HOU, @WV, KANS .. lol... welcome to the B12 boys!!!! .. even worse is their old AAC foes are going to have 'Cincy Week' circled since last year, they aren't looking to start the B12 era getting pushed around by them still lol .. also horrible draw getting a few of their more competitive games on the road .. @BYU, @HOU, @WV .. nuttin much free on that schedule .. I don't hate the idea of taking 5 at normal odds but no reason to reach and take Bol's offering 4.5 -130 IMO ..
