you are missing the fact that the ACC is go awful and has been for years
 
ACC is much better this year, maybe the best conference.

I cannot put enough of these out when you say that the ACC could be the best conference.

 

Unbelievable some of the shit people say on covers.

 

Bottom line: If V. Tech wins your conference, your conference is shit.

here is reality folks... there are 4 teams in the ACC (Ga Tech, Fla St, UNC and Va Tech) that all rate out higher than the best team from the Big East (Pitt)...

this is based purely on analysis... might want to look into it...

ACC is not a bad conference. Top to bottom statistically it is ranked higher than the SEC. Look it up.
 
Pike had the flu in the Hawaii game. He was puking on the sideline during the game and had to come out in the 4th quarter. He is a solid QB. It's a close game.

when looking at the entire ACC and Big East vs. their non-conference opponents, there are lots of numbers that support the superiority of the ACC over the Big East... but i will let you all look those up for yourselves...
 
but i will say again... i hope Pike is playing against Va Tech... he hasn't seen a defense that remotely resembles what he will see there...

To me, this game is as simple as this..it's THE single biggest game in Cincinnati's putrid football history.  For that reason alone, I'm taking them.
 
This game is a simple case of who's more excited to be here...Cincinnati will be the more inspired team.

I'm forced to respectfully disagree with this as well. VT has lost like 5 consecutive BCS games and now they are actually playing in one that they werent supposed to make. Last year they ended up #3 in the BCS rankings and were like uhh, Kansas? really? This year they have 4 losses and are like, wow! They are actually allowing us to play in a BCS game? Almost every starter is a brand new starter who hasnt played in a bowl game. They will be just as up for the game. Also, Cincy having the pressure of this being their biggest game ever is not a good thing. VT can just go out and play football and not worry about the legacy of their program

I knew I'd catch some resistance from you Bendi.  I can't disagree with your points, I just feel stronger about Cincinnati's postition unfortunately. 
 
They're trying to make a case as to why they are no longer a Conference USA caliber program and are a legit BCS program.  Whether that's true or not is another story...I still think they are always going to be closer to a CUSA program than a BCS program no matter what people are saying and thinking these days. 
 
Let's not forget that if it hadn't been for the ACC snagging Tech, Miami, and BC from the Big East, then Cincinnati would only have pipe dreams of ever playing in a BCS game.  A win here over that same Tech team that bailed on the Big East would be a huge trump card for the entire Big East conference actually.
 
My money is going to be on Cincinnati, but I won't be heartbroken if they get stomped for personal reasons.

I can absolutely see why people like Cincy in this game. I just think VT is getting unjustly discounted for the wrong reasons. I'm here to help and make sure people understand both sides of a wager and dont get blindsided by incorrect information
