sick part is... im going to ADD plays to my list once team totals start getting released...    eww....

as far as thursday...   i really like ECU at home catching a touchdown...  i know they are revamping there program with a new coach, and a more aggressive defense.. but they have the corners to play that style... and on top of it their D-Line is a HUGE mismatch for the horrendous O-Line of tulsa.  kinney will be sacked at least 4 times guarunteed...

i just see alot of value in ECU(+7) and maybe even ECU(ml) and why not play under(60)

KK - kilgore may surprise some people, not sure about first game, has nice quick release and good speed

BBB - that's a lot of 1st half plays, looks pretty solid though, GL

gene - yeah as long as Newton can execute the Tigers should be pretty tough and if defense can get somewhat back to previous years....MSU looked lost trying to defend last year, at least we know it won't be 3-2 again in Starkville like 08, that was painful to watch..war eagle and BOL this season gene

looks like OU is now 34 and Nebraska 37

important to keep even keel whether going below .500 first week or hitting a couple games...it's a long season

Nost.,   OK, one more random question.  5d's has "extra" games listed. I'm to beat down to study the "extra" games in detail right now but put a unit on Tx. St. +37 @ Houston. I think they can score in the 20's which should be plenty. Houston has a Fri. night game with UTEP next week and I wouldn't show my full playbook in this warm-up game if I were Houston's coach.

doc  - finally was able to access a few of those lines, no real lean on Tex St-Houston...TSU could get back door if new QB Hawkins can get ball to good WRs, appears to be good runner, unproven as passer so not sure. On first look a few early leans to possibly check out....Indiana -24.5 vs Towson, Nevada -17.5 vs EWU and might give So Utah +17 a chance to hang with Wyoming, GL

Nos --- What you think about the Memphis under? Really like the under here.  Memphis had a horrible defense last year, but there is definitely more talent on that side of the ball for them (Hughes--- MS State transfer, Ball --- FSU Transfer, Furr --- Auburn transfer, Thompson --- JC stud, Poe --- solid true freshman year, Trotter --- All-Conference talent, etc.).  Keep in mind Relf didn't even throw for 300 yards last season, but he does has speed, but Memphis does as well at the LB positions and has decent talent on the ends.  This may be successful in somewhat containing Relf.   MS State was a team who lived by the run last season and lose a stud in Anthony Dixon.  His replacements Elliot and Ballard are both inexperienced and have question marks.  Granted, their line will be one of the most productive units in the SEC, but with question marks at both QB and RB --- there may not be enough firepower on offense to get things going --- especially so early in the season.  Plus, Memphis has the size at tackle (320 and 350) to close some running lanes.

What to Watch For ---

1.  The MS State backfield --- their season hinges on this unit and there are plenty of questions.

2.  Marcus Ball (S - Memphis) --- Former top 100 recruit and Florida St. true freshman gets his opportunity to impress NFL scounts and help a much needed Memphis secondary.

3.  Can MS State convert on 3rd down? The offensive unit was one of the worst in the nation last year converting at a mere 33 percent.  With a new QB and their best offensive player gone, can this unit improve?
