I take it, you"re not from the South...Right???...
awesome!!!
sure does seem to boil down to something as simple as that, doesn't it? heaven fucking forbid the world doesn't continue worshipping our conference...
Propoganda works. SEC good at it, and they have influence with ESPN and the BCS. Many things are decided in backroom deals.
Alabama lost and their offense was unimaginative, unexplosive, and the QB was ineffective.
LSU's defense exposes most QBs.
Only a handful of QBs who can deal with a collapsing pocket without getting flustered are gonna have moderate success.
Obviously LSU secondary has NFL - type level of play. Def line can be neutralized and kept off balance with good play calling.
It shouldn't matter who is playing who--just be on the right side. Unless we occupy the NCAA who are hijacking the sport, we have to deal with their biases, their programming, their DNA, their relationships both financial and historical.

the bottom half of the sec this year is really down..that said , OK ST would have 2 OR 3 losses amongest LSU , ALA , GA , ARK and USC...
they just don't see the team speed that the top sec teams have on defense...
finally someone with a brain

It's useless to argue with those two Alabama homers. They refuse to believe that LSU beat them fair and square. Last time i looked, special teams and coaching was part of being a "team". Yet they still cry and complain in a bunch of threads about how Alabama should have won that game. They also spout non-sense about how the SEC is so superior. That is such bullshit and i am a SEC supporter. The conference is way down this year, yet they refuse to believe it. For years i bashed they Pac-10 and their style of football but with Oregon, USC, and Stanford, they have three very strong teams, Same with the Big 12. Ultimately i think LSU and Alabama could beat most of those teams, but as a conference the SEC is down this year. They also refuse to believe that Alabama's defense played a bunch of sorry offensive teams this year and that helped pad those statistics. They just rant and rave about how good their team and the SEC is and when they can't have it their way they will just start calling you names and cussing you out like a couple of 12 year old kids. I really want to see the rematch and see LSU kick Alabama's ass so these two can STFU!!! But they will probably still make excuses about how the Superdome is a home game for LSU even though they know that it is not. Until then i woudn't even waste my time trying to discuss the game with those two homers.

SEC: The conference of double standards.
SEC is double standard country. Like it was pointed out in the other thread, Florida 2008 had a horrible loss to a below .500 Miss. St. (?) team. back then SEC homers where touting body of work. SEC is strong top to bottom. When Boise goes undefeated, it's always body of work. If Houston goes undefeated this year, it would probably be body of work again. Now the shoes on the other foot and now it's NOT body of work it's who you lost two? Body of work means NOTHING. Boise and Houston should take note. You can go 12-1 with your one loss coming to the number 1 team and you should get into the NC game because it's not body of work that matters, it's who you lost to.
Or is it because the past 5 NC have been SEC so they should automatically have two teams in this year?
The funny part about all this is that the same pundits (and even probably some of the posters on this board) who defend the BCS by saying a playoff would make the regular season worthless, are probably the same people that are saying it doesn't matter if Alabama ALREADY lost to LSU in the REGULAR season, they should still play for the MNC.

Yes you congratlated LSU when they won- but since then i have seen you go in a bunch of threads and get pissed off and hostile when ever there is any criticism of Alabama or the SEC. Even if it's constructive criticism. I think Alabama is probably the 2nd best team in the nation but we will have to disagree about the SEC because the SEC is having a very down year in my opinion. If Miss. St. and S. Carolina wouldn't have been such disappointments then my opinion would be different.

ICE ICE baby, fantastic thread but I chose this qoute because this is what your VERY valid arguments have best degenerated into
Undeserving EVENTUAL runnerups just trying to stake a claim for 2nd place
It doesn't matter this year as LSU should win BCSNCG AND the SEC is overated this year. Everything else is certainly just trivial

Let's not forget Nick Saban himself saying if you don't win your conference, you shouldn't play for the MNC.
Still think that Saban?

I'm a SEC homer but i am also a realist. For some reason, especially this year, a bunch of Alabama/SEC homers just won't admit that the SEC is down and the Big 12 is up. I still think the SEC is a good conference but only the West has any good teams. S. Carolina has been a disappointment and i think Georgia has had a very easy SEC schedule and they got whipped by Boise. And i was all over Georgia in that game. The SEC will win another championship this year and the scary thing is LSU should be even better next year. I hope the SEC improves next year as i think it will and i will say it is the best but until then i think the are second fiddle this year as a whole.
