Week 3 Thoughts...

Week 2 was not all that bad. With what happened - AF shitting themselves, ND also shitting themselves - it was surprisingly good. Most of the teams that should have covered did, FIU, Iowa State, Colorado etc.

This week.....looking at.....

Miss State couldnt have worked out better. You had most people rushing to overpay for them last week. You never win while overpaying and I am hoping those same backers will feel they were betting on an overrated team. I would love to see 4 again with Miss State. LSU does not have the offense here, imo. Great way for it to set up too....just great.

Iowa State should win again. Lets not forget, UCONN is terrible. Iowa State might be in letdown mode, but I am betting they arent.

The line tells you Clemson gets it done. But betting on Dabo? Geez. Nothing is more painful.

Vandy should win another home game. Miss has no qb play.

It seems like its begging for action, but I will bite on NIU +17. Please dont tell me you bet on this squad last week, lol.

If I can get 10 with Tenny...I will take it. I like their chances against a one-dimensional Florida.

It was a lot more fun grabbing UCLA +16 last year in Texas than +3.5 at home.

I think Army gives NW all it can handle.

Illy is play of the year type material. ASU impresses on National TV and then has to go on the road in a hostile environment. Still not sold on Osweiler. Love Scheelhaase.

This thread last week was extremely profitable for anyone who followed.

Just wanted to throw my .02 in on UCLA vs Texas. It appears that Mac has finally realized that Gilbert is a cancer for their offense. I made a ton of money fading Texas last year, and also faded them last week taking BYU + points. This week I see things being different with a QB who doesn't throw at least 3 ints a game. IMO UCLA won't be able to score, and Texas not shooting themselves in the foot probably gets them a win by at least 7! BOL to you!

Michigan -30.5 is about 6.5 points too high in my opinion. Michigan will have to score 48 at the absolute very least to cover. off that ridiculous win against nd last week, now everybody's excited to bet on them to win a game by basically 5 scores with ease? on a scale of 1-10, how seriously do you think michigan will take this emu team this week? I'd say about a 1 or a 2, wouldn't be surprised to even see a 10-14 point game.

The ones I followed you on last week lost, the ones I didn't won. Against you on both Mississippi schools and NIU. Wisconsin is just starting to look like that team we get each year that covers inflated lines, and MSU just usually doesn't have much success against LSU. Also leaning against you on Iowa State, for letdown purposes, but I'm also hoping for a reasonable total that I can play under. Each team last week played in games that were deceptively high-scoring. 

Already on Tennessee and think they have a great shot to win outright. Think getting 10 is justified here but think this line is based on years past and while Fla has routed both teams they've played they have looked unimpressive and lack a No. 1 reciever and Brantley is the Gators Crompton, if that kid makes a mistake that crowd will turn on him with the quickness.

Think this is a great matchup for the Vols here. Fla does have a great front 7 possibly one of the best in the country but that secondary is a matchup nightmare for the Vols. Gators on the offensive is like you said very one dimensional. Love this play.

Already on Navy +18 South Car coming off a big win then has to turn around and play a pesky Navy team that will be a unique offense that South Car is not used to seeing.

Fla St. Revenge Home crowd will be rocking.

Just some thoughts after first look

Linde, what do you mean "horrible spot for Tennessee." If you think the matchups are bad (I don't--Florida's weakness at corner sets up perfectly for UT's pass game) or don't trust freshmen on the road (a legit concern), that's fine. But "horrible spot" usually means something different than that. What's your angle? 

It's a little long, but here's what I posted in another forum regarding the game...

And I will also add this - how will Tennessee exploit their advantage at WR when Muschamp is throwing exotic blitz schemes at Bray and putting him on his ass all day long?  Gonna be very difficult for him to get comfortable back there.

Linde...I still cant find anyone who bet Cincy last week. This forum was Vols heavy. I dont think perception has changed.

Also, Cincy was able to move the ball against Tenny because spread teams always move the ball against Tenny. They present a unique problem that UF does not.

Just .02 regarding that.

We're clearly in disagreement on the capabilities of the UT defense.  I've seen nothing from the Vols defense since Dooley arrived that tells me the Gators can't run the ball with ease and make things easier for Brantley and the passing game.  Hell, even last year - at the peak of Florida's offensive struggles and on the road - they put up 31 on UT and Brantley was fairly efficient.

North Texas, down 4 at the half, deserved better than a late backdoor.

Haven't seen it mentioned yet, but 16.5 points is a mighty big spread for a USC team that has looked rather lethargic out of the gate. Syracuse has some playmakers and a rock-solid QB in Nassib, though the loss of Chandler Jones at DE does leave a void. It helps that the Orange play better on the road, and I think Nassib can exploit a porous USC secondary. Plus, Lane Kiffin teams are horrendous as big favorites.

Probably my favorite play of the week as of now.

Took Tenn to win the East this year. They pose a huge problem for the Gators, if they press cover those recievers they will be exposed. Bray has one of the quickest releases and the guys spins the ball as good as anyone in the SEC...Think Gators are in trouble also think they have no identity on offense still believe Weiss is still trying to figure out who they really are

RJ, you have any thoughts about UNLV/Hawaii or SJSU/Nevada?UNLV's home/road splits were ridiculous last year, and they covered this number against Nevada. A little tempted to play on the Rebs if it gets up to 21.

On to this week, no thoughts on the LSU game, agree 100% on the FSU and Illi games.  Like Wisky though, I did bet NIU last week, but they were playing KU who BLOWS bad!!!!!  I don't think they will be able to hang in their for 4 quarters vs the Badgers.  This is a different team with Wilson, not as one dimensional.

Need your thoughts on two games:

Love Iowa this week, think we are getting a short line here vs Pitt.  I am a Pitt ticket holder, their O-Line stinks, QB stinks and their Defense has been getting gouged, bad.  Line is low due to Pitt being 2-0 and Iowa coming off a loss, sets up for a nice play.

WVU as an underdog at MD, really?  What has MD done to be favored here, this line really has me thinking that MD is the play but I want so badly to unload on WVU!  This is not you Bill Stewart Mountianeers, they will score and score, just think they win this going away.

Also, OSU, can't see Tulsa hanging in there with this team, way too much speed and skill.
