A rivalry game of this magnitude and its a bad spot for Tenny? Completely disagree. These two teams are huge rivals. I see a bad spot as a look ahead game or coming of an upset win. But not here. This is a great spot for both teams.

I don't know if you watched that AF game. You would not have liked an early play. AF was at midfield and it was 4th and 3. And they go for it!
Of course they didn't get it. That was stupid. It went downhill from there.

Hey RJ,
Does the LSU-MSU Thursday Night game have a very similar look to a game played 2 yrs ago in the SEC when #4 Ole Miss went into South Carolina as 3 point favorites and lost?
LSU can't throw the ball and MSU plays defense unlike Oregon who lost 5 starters on defense off last yrs team. If LSU just thinks they are going to run all over this team I think they are mistaken. MSU can run the ball very effectively even though they suck at throwing as well with noodle armed Relf at QB.
I think the line is set right at 3 but the situation clearly favors MSU with a weekday night game vs a team they haven't beaten in years and a shitty QB on the road as well.

LSU/Ms State/Ole Miss are the 3 teams in cfb that I'm the most familar with. With that said, LSU continues the streak and puts the bulldogs away and Ole Miss loses by double digits in Nashville.
Ms State was exposed last week. Their bread and butter is running the football. They basically ran 2 plays all day, a high school option play left/right and a qb draw. LSU will shut those down and force Relf to beat them with his arm. This LSU defense is no joke, just look at how they shutdown oregon. As long as Lee can avoid turnovers, LSU wins this one by 10+ LSU remembers what happened the last time they were in starkville and they will be ready for the spotlight this thursday. The LSU offense isnt going to set the world on fire but they will control the clock and pound you to open up the pass. Not to mention ms state lost their starting left tackle last week (who wasnt that good to begin with. he was a dl until late spring) Ms State has a good team and they will win some games this year but lack of depth and talent will catch up to them in this one. LSU rolls
Ole Miss is sad and pathetic. I'm an ole miss alum and fan. And whats going on right now with our program is embarrassing. We have some young talent but not where it counts. Our QB play is below avg with a juco starter making his 1st career road start. We lost our best player in rb brandon bolden against byu with an ankle injury. Rb jeff scott is a homerun hitter but our offensive line couldnt block oxford high. Southern Illinois spent last saturday in our backfield. Did you even know southern illinois had a football team? In our best years, vandy has owned us. This is a HUGE game for them every year because we are the one sec team they know they have a shot at beating. They are an experienced team playing at home against an ole miss with a juco making his 1st road start, a banged up backfield, a pathetic offensive line, a defense that gave up 24 points to a school that most dont even realize had a football team. Im sad to say, it could get ugly in nashville.

No comparison to the Ole Miss/USC game 2 years ago except similar rankings. That year, the talent was equal if not favoring usc. Ole Miss was extremely overrated at that time and didnt belong in the top 15, much less the top 5. Make no bones about it, there is NO comparison between the overall talent you will see on the field come thursday night.
So you negate LSU scoring 40 points against Oregon because they lost 5 starters from the previous year but claim Ms State plays defense even though they gave up 41 points to an Auburn team that only returned 3 starters from a year ago?
