No comparison to the Ole Miss/USC game 2 years ago except similar rankings. That year, the talent was equal if not favoring usc. Ole Miss was extremely overrated at that time and didnt belong in the top 15, much less the top 5. Make no bones about it, there is NO comparison between the overall talent you will see on the field come thursday night.
So you negate LSU scoring 40 points against Oregon because they lost 5 starters from the previous year but claim Ms State plays defense even though they gave up 41 points to an Auburn team that only returned 3 starters from a year ago?
All I was saying was that the spots are similar and I have seen too many games where the higher ranked road team gets a short line and the public and squares crush it and then the upset happens. Go check the record of road favorites in BCS conference games during weekday games. Its a terrible ATS record.
By the way LSU was given a TD on the fumbled punt into the endzone and DeAnthony Thomas also fumbled twice deep in their own territory. LSU played great but is this team going undefeated? Nope. Could they lose this game? Yes. LSU played a perfect game vs Oregon. Their defense and ground game were devastating. I doubt they do that here vs an SEC team on the road at night.
MSU played shitty defense vs Auburn but that Tiger team can put up pts in Malzahn's offense. MSU did lose some talent with KJ Wright and Pernell Mcphee graduating though so I can see them taking a step back but I think they could play over their heads in this spot.
