I'd show up at his work looking for him everyday asking about the money. Be real polite to everybody, including him. But make sure you go EVERYDAY. If, after like 3 days you still don't have money, then start being a dick. Make messes, throw shit off the shelves, harass customers, etc. He'll dread going in to work everyday knowing he'll have to deal with you.

He only answers the phone when he wants. Everything is done via text message.

If I lose its ok because I'm gonna get fucked anyways. He replies to texts now only with bets and lines. Everytime I ask about meeting or settling he won't respond.
I have all my NFL bets today through him for shits and giggles...

You sound like a drama queen to me. What sort of a fool is owed 2 grand by a small time bookie who refuses to pay, then takes more action off the same guy a few weeks later. I guess you figure you will be paid if you win? You both deserve each other. This guy "the small time bookie" should have been knee capped weeks ago. End of topic for me.

fuck i butchered my typing. this debt aint buyable, now that dont mean it isnt collectable but no real collector would buy it unless he is doing you a favor.
I wrote a book 10 pressure points to collecting a debt. its all about pressure points.
dont go to the guy go all around him....co workers, parents, neighbors, boss. that is the shit that gets people to pay.
might even see it happen to one of your fellow posters here real soon.

I live 2 hours away, I'm not that worried about the 2grand as I was in the beginning. It's betting money, and not like I planned on having it. With gambling it's a risk you take. No different with an offshore that closes shop.
I'm not going to track someone down 2 hours away that I've never met and don't know where he lives. Not worth the stress and time and money.

Dude, if 2 grand isn't worth 4 hours of driving, I wanna know what your financial situation is. Furthermore, if he lives 2 hours away, how does he collect/pay out in a weekly basis?

I got set up the same way...Through a co-worker actually some years back. When I lost big time ,1 time and 1 time only, he was nice enough to wipe away the debt I owed him. The way he did it was everyone else that I placed bets for through him, he would give me 10% of all there losses and knock it off my debt. It actually worked out sweet because he still let me bet and I ended up paying nothing out of pocket for the debt I owed. But still til this day I use him and I have never had a problem with payment..doesnt matter how much it is..The only thing that sucks now is that he no longer controls everything, he set up one of those 3rd party web sites that do everything for him and you have your own login and password that he creates for you...so you cant pull any b.s. anymore. He bankrolls us and we still meet up on mondays if your +/- $100...so I hope it all works out for you but I STRONGLY agree with the guy that said get his work involved and bother the shit out of him until he pays because he will start to feel obligated to pay...where I come from if you choose to be shady and just completely ignore the fact that you owe, you WILL and I mean 100% guarantee you will get vistied by some Italians that I hear are pretty rough...Good luck though, I hope he pays because that really sucks knowing you could have paid for your entire families Christmas gifts and had some money in your pocket instead of dishing out more..
