If his only comparison is Bo Jackson, then I think he is clearly in the discussion. LeBron has already shown more longevity than Bo, no?
Lebron is a great BBall player.....no doubt. But I don't know what else he can do. I saw Bo do garbage that was incredible in two sports. I was at the Monday night game when ran all over the Seahawks & Bosworth..........I hate the word.....think it's overused & gaye............but his performance was awesome.
It's shame that the hip injury ended his careers so early.......the sporting world got cheated.
For anyone that didn't get to see him play, I suggest watching the ESPN 30 for 30 about him.........pretty good.
Difference between Bo & Dion? Bo was a man..........Dion was a girl.

Bo was a mediocre baseball player at best. He only got attention in baseball due to his football skills.
Your thought is definitely in the minority but I have to agree. He had over 800 SO's and was a career .249 BA. His football ability, on the other hand, was amazing. And, yes, he was an incredible athlete.

You don't know what else Lebron could do? Maybe you should have done some research...
"During his junior year, he caught 61 passes for 1,245 yards and 16
touchdowns. As a sophomore, he had 42 receptions — 7 went for
touchdowns — for 820 yards."
Think his junior season in the state of Ohio in high school was pretty damn good.

Derek Rose Russel Westbrook Calvin Johnson Adrian Peterson Michael Vick Barry Sanders Herschel Walker Willie Mays Carl Lewis Pele Jackie Robinson
Athleticism is combination of speed-strength-size and agility. Most of the people on yor list are not all of those. They are all great players...but players like Vick-Sanders and Lewis have no size or power to speak of
Then I think you would have to add Lawrence Taylor to this list... Man was a freak...

Depends on criteria... for me the criteria includes athleticism, heart (desire to compete), and accomplishments. With that said I have to go with Michael Jordan.
As for pure athleticism, I think it's hard to argue anybody other than Bo Jackson. He just lacks the other two criteria IMO
I might put Walter Payton as a close second to Jordan... both Chicago guys :)
I named my first son Jordan Michael 16 years ago when he was born.

Many of the greatest athletes of all time just don't want to play another sport. Lebron's 2nd best sport is Football, but you just physically can't play both of those sports professionally.

That's true.......pretty big overlap in seasons.
I won't argue against Lebron. The guy is a great athlete.
