And also...I still completely don't understand why god would create the universe...wait about 13 billion years...create single cell organisms...allow them to evolve into all the animals we have today...including humans...and then - why the hell would he care? What's in it for him? Why does he want to "judge" everyone? Why does he "love" everyone (well-except those he says should be put to death, but let's not digress)? Maybe god was bored and he wanted to entertain himself with little insignificant creatures? It just makes no sense that even if there is a divine creator, that he would give a shit AT ALL about the ongoings of little insignificant creatures (us).

They don't believe in evolution kitty.  People like EX are why i lean towards the "short lived" side of the Fermi paradox.

And I guess being sarcastic and smart alecky (or however you spell it) is supposed to give you brownie points or show that you are "cool." You have NO idea how important that "small geographic area" was in relationship to the world back then... which is part of the irony of why Jesus was born in Bethlehem.... it was the crossroads of the civilized world then. Man, just read the Bible from an unbiased standpoint and YOU tell me why there isn't any mention of it in the Bible... only the good Lord knows even if I gave the most legit answer ever, it still wouldnt matter to you

that's because "god" didn't create man in his image, man created "god" in his image these are things that are important to man, not to something that supposedly created everything...

My favorite thing about the bible is that the OT god was a HUGE prick.  The NT god was a pretty nice guy.  Why the change of heart?  Was it because he became a father? Lol

Reading the Bible is one of the things which turned me from strongly agnostic to basically full blown atheist.

The same essentially happened to me.  I was young and believed because that's what I was told.  As I learned more about the religion, the less I believed.  I just don't understand how a rational person can believe that stuff.

It started off so nicely. God created a couple planets. He created a sun. He created Adam. He gave adam a lady friend. And that's about when shit started to hit the fan. We started dealing with talking snakes and giant floods and a couple million animals coexisting one one ark built by one man and virgin births and people rising from the dead and so on.

It is truly astounding the lengths at which believers will go to try and rationalize these tales with modern science. It's like a child refusing to let go.

 Modernity has long since vanquished all of this nonsense, but they tenaciously cling to it as the last gaps are closed by our expanding understanding of the universe.  I think it was jefferson who said that the virgin birth and other christian myths would one day be given no more credibility than minerva springing fully grown from the head of zeus.  This outcome seems inevitable unless the religious zealots wipe out civilization first.  Like a wounded, cornered animal, they are most dangerous still in their death throes.

I already admitted that it was a fallacy, and I actually talk about how Christians should not put themselves up on a pedestal in my thread... more of a joke saying that, although one day everybody will realize it is true

It got as much attention as it needed to. People have messaged me and told me that they appreciate what I have posted. The fact that nobody has disproved anything; and the fact that the people that did try to disprove me got no where says something about the validity of what I have posted  good luck trying to find the guy in my armor

I used to argue like this in second grade.  I'm right and you're wrong!!  Then we went outside and played tag lol.  I think if I was still in second grade, then we would be on a level playing field
