You have NO EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE

When you say you have no proof, but you make a comment based on your belief, the shortfall between emprical evidence and belief is called faith. Just like theists, atheists have faith as well.

You dont believe the Christian God exists, as you have NO EMPIRICAL evidence, your conviction requires faith.

Ohterwise, if you dont  like to have the term "faith" associated with you, then you must be an agnostic, in that case, dont bag out anyones religion

Science pretty much concludes there is no such thing as god. Do the research. It is hard to follow logical thought, it requires to put aside (religious) dogma, and open ones mind to other possabilities, and concentration. I would also say peoples religious affiliation is based on geography. Where you are born will determine, for the most part, what you to believe to be absolute truths. God, politics, nationalism, etc.

What this shows is people will believe what they are told, not so much what is the truth of anything. When one sees that all around you eventually dies, and you understand the implication of what that means for your mortal ego, well one recoils in horror, and looks for a way out.

Delusional thinking is what you got there with a whatever local flavor you grew up in.

Remember, you believe in god because someone told/taught you to.

This question, do women have free will or not, has a lengthy history of debate by great minds, and now the science of the mind is becoming more and more known. Furthermore, before you decide to write more, read through the thread "post your tough questions regarding Christianity".

Then once you start to break down my arguments that arent based on "emotio" or "why the world is an unfair place" as the reason for no God, then i will enter into a dialogue with you.

Rostos, your arguments are old and tired. Arguments for the existence of god have been codified for centuries by theologians, and supplemented by others, including purveyors of misconceived 'common sense'.

A classic is Thomas Aquinas' 'proofs'. They are 1. The unmoved mover, 2. The uncaused cause, 3. The cosmological argument, 4. The argument from degree, and 5. The teleological argument, or the argument from design.

The argument from design is the only one still in regular use today. Even the young Darwin was impressed by it when he read it in William Paley's Natural Theology. But the mature Darwin blew it out of the water. There has probably never been a more devastating rout of popular belief than Charles Darwin's destruction of the argument from design.

Most arguments for the existence of god fall into two main categories, the a priori and the a posteriori. Aquinas' five proofs are a posteriori arguments, relying on inspection of the world. The most famous of the a priori arguments, those that rely upon pure armchair ratiocination, is the ontological argument, proposed by St. Anselm of Canterbury in 1078 and restated in different forms by numerous philosophers ever since. The most definitive refutations of the ontological argument are usually attributed to David Hume and Immanuel Kant.

Here are some; The argument from incomplete devastation, argument from possible worlds, argument from sheer will, argument from post death experience, argument from emotional blackmail... I'm sure your suspect arguments can be found amongst them.

the argument from beauty,
the arguments from personal experience,
the argument from scripture,
the argument from admired religious scientists,
pascal's wager (every gambler should know this),and 
bayesian arguments.

Careful fellas, I know you think you have life by the balls because you win a few wagers.  If you live to see 80 and beat cancer or an accident, I doubt you will be calling for your bookie in a time of need.  It is okay to believe in something, not just ESPN in life.  Believing in something as powerful as Jesus, might actually make you a better person.  But in this world you have to defend yourself for believing in something positive, just the way the growing dark side wants it.  The more blurry the more they have you.

Right, so the general consensus was that the universe was eternal, even by the scientific community, yet it was only accepted by cosmology in the last 30 years that the universe began. Oh wait, i suppose the writer of Genisis was just a good capper.

All those are OBSERVABLE in the world with the technology they had, logic and research. Something like the origins of the universe could not be proven scientifically UNLESS we have the technology of today.

All in all, what you just did, was personally insulted a few covers member, sworn at our beliefs, made a reference to sport which has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with this topic of discussion and made a laughable attempt at answering post 21.

Old and tired? So you say that i have been using arguments that theoligians have been using for centuries such as the origins of the universe are old and tired. Let me see, gensis writes, the universe began to exist. Yet scientists, cosmologists and atheists BELIEVED the universe was ETERNAL. It wasnt until Edwin Hubble, Albert Eisntein and modern technology have CONFIRMED the universe BEGAN to exist. This has forced atheists to look like fools when they are forced to believe the universe poppped into existence out of nothing. And you have the hide to say my arguments are flawed? I suppose a camel doesnt see its own hump.

You refernce Darwin, wasnt he the one who said in his own words that if his theory of evolution was true, we would expect to see thousands and thousands of "transitional" fossils int he next 100 years? Well, guess what, 150 odd years later, we have a handful which are debatable at best.

Regarding the design argument, what is your response, the multiverse theory , which is JUST A THEORY made up to get around the origins and design argument. Wishful thinking.
