Most arguments for the existence of god fall into two main categories, the a priori and the a posteriori. Aquinas' five proofs are a posteriori arguments, relying on inspection of the world. The most famous of the a priori arguments, those that rely upon pure armchair ratiocination, is the ontological argument, proposed by St. Anselm of Canterbury in 1078 and restated in different forms by numerous philosophers ever since. The most definitive refutations of the ontological argument are usually attributed to David Hume and Immanuel Kant.
1. Kalam Cosmlogical argument
2. Design of the universe
3. origins of life
4. Scripture
5. Personal experience.

Careful fellas, I know you think you have life by the balls because you win a few wagers. If you live to see 80 and beat cancer or an accident, I doubt you will be calling for your bookie in a time of need. It is okay to believe in something, not just ESPN in life. Believing in something as powerful as Jesus, might actually make you a better person. But in this world you have to defend yourself for believing in something positive, just the way the growing dark side wants it. The more blurry the more they have you.
Agreed,

Old and tired? So you say that i have been using arguments that theoligians have been using for centuries such as the origins of the universe are old and tired. Let me see, gensis writes, the universe began to exist. Yet scientists, cosmologists and atheists BELIEVED the universe was ETERNAL. It wasnt until Edwin Hubble, Albert Eisntein and modern technology have CONFIRMED the universe BEGAN to exist. This has forced atheists to look like fools when they are forced to believe the universe poppped into existence out of nothing. And you have the hide to say my arguments are flawed? I suppose a camel doesnt see its own hump.
You refernce Darwin, wasnt he the one who said in his own words that if his theory of evolution was true, we would expect to see thousands and thousands of "transitional" fossils int he next 100 years? Well, guess what, 150 odd years later, we have a handful which are debatable at best.
Regarding the design argument, what is your response, the multiverse theory , which is JUST A THEORY made up to get around the origins and design argument. Wishful thinking.

Look up the words "Celestial Teapot," go take a nap, then come back and try again. If you don't understand it, I will explain it to you in smaller words

And Rostos, nobody has answered your question because anybody with half a brain can ascertain that it's so irrelevant and based in faulty logic that it doesn't merit a response

If you're an Aethist or whatever, I have no issue but these insulting comments need to go. Mods I think you can achieve this one before we have some issues here.

Where i come from, you play the issue, not the man.
When people start swearing at you and making personal insults, it is very clear that they simply dont have any good answers to respond back to you, hence they make it emotonal and personal, otherwise they would stick to the topic.

Celestial Teapot is testable.... how? And as for your INSANELY DIFFICULT QUESTION, you do understand that the Bible has been edited over the years, right? Not to mention that it was plagiarized from the story of Horus to begin with

There no beginning, there is no end, hence there is no creator..time is
just an illusion, the past, present and future all exist in the same
plane.so what's god?no one can say,maybe existence is god,maybe its a
harmonious frequency along the different planes of existence...who
knows? But religion is just a mere invention, a mere tool of mankind, used
to control, dictate and rule over the masses..it's just the greatest yet
the deadliest invention ever.. Why would god create a universe for us to stare at? Did he/she have to?
Hell... Maybe the Devil created everything - looks more like it when you look at how shitty the world is. Babies dying of hunger/cancer/aids, child soldiers, pedophilles, rapists wars etc.
Devil 1 - god 0

You're talking gibberish which is another way of saying you're confused which is a typical characteristic of a heathen. Before you open your mouth with your gibber you should give yourself the great opportunity to read what's in the Holy Bible...then after you're enlightened you will probably not gibber anymore.
BTW I like your avatar...such beauty indeed! and that is no illusion sir!

The things you say makes it hard to know where you really stand. You certainly IMHO don't take Christianity seriously.
So my being attracted to females is problematic for you ? What kind of bible do you read sirjohndrake ? I currently have a 1997 NIV and will be picking up a 1611 King James. Keep your judgement to yourself please brother.
