Shrewd shrewd multi multi millionaire who didnt believe , died, saw the light, came back, quit his career, quit his millions and now works as a social worker in a modest lifestyle?
Who does that after just a "dream" or if it is a hoax?

I dont expect you to go through all the videos, you just really only need to see the first one where he says he WAS an atheist at the time he died, now he is a full Christian.
If he dies, and there is nothing there, surely you dont change to Christianity, It will only strenghten your position, not change it.
Explain........
Sorry to disappoint you, but the Atheist Experience is just one place I get my information from. Unlike you who only has the bible...And these are people that have studied and researched religions and the bible. And, as you know, Matt was studying to be a minister, and his studies lead him to his Atheist beliefs
And as for a seeing a light, where have I heard that before, of yeah, just about every near death experience!Maybe its some chemical activity in the brain that occurs when you almost die...So what does the video prove

The Conscience is always pointing you to do Good. Remember, science is morally neutral. In Science, there is no such thing as right or wrong. When i say right or wrong, i am not pointing out "right chess move" but right with morals. You shouldnt equivocate these.
Under evolution or science there was no reason for me to go back to the resteraunt,. In fact, science encourages me to just drive away
Please do tell why or how science would lead you to not pay your tab?

So on one hand it is a chemical reaction causing the light but some others experience hell.......Different reactions from different people on death huh? Thebrain is reacting differently depending on how it feels.....

Really They envisioned hell Or what they thought hell would be likeWhat exactly does "hell" look like?????? What exactly does "heaven" look like??????? If there even were such places...people's minds do some crazy shit when they almost die, I'm sure some day we will learn what is happening in the brain at this time...

I believe that for most Christians, "hell" is defined as a state of existence without God whereas "heaven" is a state of existence with God.

lots of strippers, professional athletes and other people who have other things to do on sunday morning. very few priests and child molesters, although probably a lot of children who never became old enough to decide about religion or god or just figured they'd rather watch cartoons or sports on sunday rather than go to church.

At the time, i didnt think about God punishing me if i didnt go back etc etc. We were 10 minutes away from the resteraunt, no one realised, no one knew and it was most likely we werent going to go back to eat there, so i wasnt worried for one bit that i would get "caught" or someone would put a witch hunt on us for not paying. So i could EASILY have gotten away with a nice free meal.
However, there was something inside me crying with guilt, my Conscience (inner voice) was telling me that what i did (even though it was unintentional) that it was wrong.
We went back and paid and they were very grateful and telling us how honest we are etc etc tc.
Now, that is your God Conscience telling you what is right ot wrong. Everyone has a Conscience, EVERYONE. It is wether you listen to it or not.

Does one really need God to tell you the right thing to do was to go back and pay for your meal?
A few years back, I was driving on Christmas Eve going to pick up my gal. A guy was walking on the side of the highway. I stopped and asked him what was up....his car had broke down and his house was 3 miles away. It was 10 degrees and windy and he had dress shoes and related clothes on. No hat and thin gloves. I drove him home because it was the right thing to do.
I had a guy stop at my home last winter. He had a flat and had no tools. He had on a light jacket and had no hat and gloves. It was 20 below. It was 10:00 p.m. I changed, got all my warm clothes on, and helped change his tire. Took 45 minutes because of the snow and cold. When finished, he attempted to give me $10 because, "unfortunately, that's all I have." I told him to keep it and maybe down the road he'll be in a spot to help someone else out. Why? Because it was the right thing to do.
It's really that simple sometimes.

The fact that you think it's impossible to feel compassion or to do the right thing or to care for others without God makes no sense to me.
Could it be the desire to be a productive contributor to society? Or the good feeling you get when you help your fellow man?
I live in a city with pretty high taxes. I have no kids. Yet I pretty much vote in favor of any tax increase that will benefit education....because I believe that benefits society and when society wins, I win.
My business partern is a fervent believer in God. He votes against every single proposed tax increase related to education. And he has 2 children.
Now he has that right and that's OK. But don't come in here telling me the only way to explain a "moral" act is God.

Sorry to disappoint you, but the Atheist Experience is just one place I get my information from. Unlike you who only has the bible...And these are people that have studied and researched religions and the bible. My business partner's dad was litterally dead on the table and was brought back to life (he has had 3 heart attacks and now has an internal heart pump which keeps him alive). The doctors said they were almost to the point of calling it (time of death). He was unconscious for some time. When he awoke, he said he remembered absolutely nothing.

Hutch - that's because you only hear about the stories when people "see things." It's funny, every night when I go to sleep I "see" things too. You know what happens then? I wake up.
Kapono - very good, but that only explains what heaven and hell are, not what they actually look like (please don't take this as an offensive attack, i like you lol)

Hang on, you have avoided my question.
Why is it that in nearly all these cases, people who have near death experiences "experience" either a "light", meeting Jesus, seeing there old family, heavan or a darkness, seeing people suffering, devil, burning etc etc but NEVER do we hear of a story where one person was saying that during there near death experience that they were driving a ferrari, playing football, baseball, sailing on a yacht or hanging out with friends or boning a hot chick etc etc etc.
Why is it they all these near experiences are always associated with the after life and never a normal dream? Surely if they are clinically dead (by the way, when someone is clinically dead, there brains arent active)

Exaclty 100% right. To me, that is an indication that God's law is written in all our hearts, it is wether ones conscience LISTENS and ACTS on that law. In this case you did. That is where you get ultimately judged.
However, the fact that wre are ALL sinners (we dont listen to that conscience) means we are all sinners.
This is where you need to ask for forgiveness through Christ. If you dont believe, then you cant ask for forgiveness.
Hypothetically, i would imagine, that if a person is sin free, they dont need to ask for forgiveness, but no one is sin free.

But you still haven't provided any evidence for how god and conscience are connected...and as for the near death experiences, how do we know these people didn't experience this before they actually became clinically dead so their brains would still be functional? And we can throw the same question at you regarding the people that have near death experiences and see nothing. Either way, people claiming to see things when they almost die is not evidence of god, so let's move on.

Your heart is filled with hatred of God. I can only speculate but I believe it's because you just don't like what you see around you. You probably don't even like your own life and your circumstances and so for you to believe in a God would mean he doesn't care or love you because if he did, your life would be much better than it is.
Let's turn the tables for a moment. What if you were the Creator God. How would you have things different from what it is? Would you make everyone's life a paradise? Would you make surprise visits to people on random basis? Go ahead tell us what's on your mind, the stage is yours.

SJD - I responded in the other thread. Feel free to copy that into here if you want.
Did it for you Kitty
I actually LOVE my life. I pretty much get whatever I want, whenever I want. I am very privileged and very lucky for I know there are those far worse off than me. I can't say what I would do if I could create everything because there is no creator. The answer is simple: logically EVERY RATIONAL HUMAN BEING THAT EVER LIVED should look for a natural answer BEFORE looking for a supernatural answer. Science now has an answer as to how the universe began. Is this answer 100%? No, of course not. But nonetheless it is a viable answer and I will choose to accept an answer based purely on the laws of science and quantum mechanics before I make the leap to magic and wand waving.
