Despite the huge rally today, DRYS still dropped 4% (currently at 14.05). Based on the current share price, DRYS has a 5.7% (0.80) divide end. How low can this possibly go?

Yep, WSC, damn sure didn't see this coming today.  Left about 5 points of SPY on the table for someone else to have.
 
Feel like throwing up right now.
 
But, discipline said to sell. 
 
Crazy.
 
"The little guy" can make money trading, but it won't be big money.  Big money, especially right now, only comes with inside info.  Who knew the hedge funds "WOULD NOT" sell off when DOW was up 400?  I damn sure didn't, and I bet no one in here did, either.  At least, I didn't read anything saying, "DOW would keep getting bought and covered the last 30 minutes" from any poster.

Well a stupid company DWT came out and said they might have to liquidate or go BK, so it hit everyone.

DWT should never have come public, they have 13 ships and made a ton of stupid bets on futures. They also locked in fuel prices at MUCH higher levels, another boneheaded move. They leased/chartered a ton of vessels at much higher levels and are stuck there too.

DWT is a joke but it makes people fearful about other companies.

FOMC DAY....................
 
Going to sit this one out.  FOMC DAY and EXPIRATION DAY----am known to "the market" as "dumb money."  Those 2 days are not for my sorry ass----for some reason, just can never see anything clearly with all the unwinding.
 
Everyone and his dog know Scholar Ben is cutting 50 BPs, so that isn't any news when it happens.  The news is the statement, though.  I wouldn't "think" that Scholar Ben is going to make any statements that "roil the markets," but lying won't cut it, either. 
 
For bulls, BB should just talk about how inflation is not running rampant for the moment, and leave it at that. 
 
For bears, BB could do them all a huge favor by not cutting at all and saying that its "Wall Street's fault" for the mess we're in, and his job is to maintain a sound currency------not bail out spoiled, greedy rich kids who are all about to lose their jobs.  Hahahahahahaha.  If he did that, I'd vote for him for Prez.

Anyone checked on 'ole Boone Pickens stock lately?

Doing a measley secondary near an all time low.

Looks like Boone is returning back to being wrong again, but who knows..if CC is right and inflation comes back heavy, oil will be over 100 again in no time.

You know why?  'Cause our "void of leadership" country isn't doing jack diddly right now to overhaul our entire transportation system and/or mechnism.
 
These farking iceholes in congress are just sitting around "hoping and praying" and congratulating themselves on oil being 75 a barrel instead of the 150 it was in July.
 
That crap means one thing.......the oil problem will bite us in the ass even harder next time.
 
I loathe and despise T Boone as much as the next person, but that icehole will be right-------just like ol' Jimmy Rogers is going to be right.
 
You can't flood the world with printed money and not expect inflation------espeically with interest rates at 1%.
 
It's just a matter of time.  Period.  End of story.

You heard it right here----Dow 20,000 by 2014-----basically Dow 8,000 (where we are now) in terms of today's worthless dollar.

Dow drops 440 points in last 10 minutes.....from up 260 to down 180.

Precisely why I don't play on FOMC day. 

Unbelievbale what happens with this crap.  Those who have inside info (and believe you me----plenty of iceholes have it) just absolutely murder "the little guy" whenever they please.

Best to take money and run------just like the Huns used to do to the big, bad Romans back in the good ol' days of the Dark Ages........"aahhh, the good ol' days."

Holy crap that move was a MONSTER.

I wasnt around and wondered what you were talking about and whammo the DOW went from 9350 to 8890 in TEN minutes, that is out of control.

Until the MMs come back, until the financial firms start making markets we are in this mess and this bizarre trading will continue.

Here is my prediction for tomorrow:
 
The Open:  LOCKED, LIMIT DOWN
 
The Close:  Down 700+ points on Dow
 
Then, some icehole will start yapping about "Black Friday/Black Monday/Capitulation Day," and we won't get any of it.
 
Take it to the bank.

A sell-off like that at close means only this:
 
Some bad, bad, bad stuff is on the horizon
 
 
Not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.  Going to sell SPY short in after market right now.

  I do not know, but I have a feeling T Boone is thinking the fix is in with any new administration, and mandates will make that co profitable, not the market place.

Interesting, I am more bullish now than I have been in awhile.  Especially with that final 2-3 minute rebound of 100+ points.  In the last few weeks we just rolled over and dumped everything into the close if the market was falling, but today there were buyers picking up things at the close.  I can't remember the last time that has happened.

I still own some Nov DIG calls, all of my Mar GLD puts and picked up some AA Dec calls today.  I think we still rally a bit from here.

If gold gets back to around $800 oz any loose cash in my account gets thrown into more GLD puts

I bought some drys near the close 4k shares. im also bullish on this rally, well for atleast a good REAL rally. not the 1 we had 2 weeks ago.  The market retested the bottom and it held strong. the money and every government has threw the kitchen sink to fix the problems. Rate cuts WORLDWIDE, but you guys are thinking the market goes down again ?? i would sell any short or double short eft's at the open tomorrow. this week will be rally week. with the election coming up and all the hope and dreams.

i'm liking drys right now with the rate cuts in asia. i think commodities will get a nice rise out of this. hopefully it will raise the BDI out of the shit hole. a nice rally back to $25 would be nice

I am dead wrong on locked limit down prediction today.
 
That sell-off last 10 minutes yesterday screwed with me------something was going on.
 
Anyway, my SPY short is in trouble------a lot of work to do today.

Hmmm, CNBC had a gold CEO on yesterday and they are bringing another on today.

I think I'm just going to have to load up on puts at these inflated prices, the meltdown must be close if the CEO's are this desperate.

I was really hoping gold would bounce back to $800 oz to lower my entry costs, actually I wish I had put more in on my first order last month.
