50 dollars to 1100 dollars in craps.                                                                 Couple years back I drove to vegas from cali for a friends bday. I went with zero bankroll.I made my mind beforehand that I was not going to gamble n just party for my friends bday. Just had my credit card for food party etc.. we were staying at harrahs for 3 days. 2 hours into the trip, couple of my buddies went to the craps table at harrahs. On the dice was this white man in this 50s betting decent amount. I had never played craps at vegas so I stood near to get a feel for the game. This guy was on fire, n all my friends were riding his coatail. I had no cash but I had this feeling that I was going to win. I didn't want to cash advance, so I came to an agreement with a buddy that I would buy him 55 dollars worth of food or whatever that will accept cc. White dude crapped out n I just bought in for 50. Everyone passed the dice, and the hot shooter was up to bat again. I didn't know anything so I just followed his betting pattern. I bet 10 on the passline, and 2 dollars on the fire bet. Didn't know what the fire bet was, just saw him throw 25 dollars on it. Long story short, he hit the 250 to 1 firebet n made my 50 into almost 1100. Didn't even have to roll the dice. he just told me what to do n didn't even hesitate once to question it. Anyways I blew half of it that night at sapphire. Regretted it lol.

I got home from work one night and heard a little voice. The little voice told me, "Quit your job, sell your house, take your money, go to Vegas." I was disturbed at what I heard and ignored the little voice. 

The next day, when I got home from work, the same thing happened. The little voice told me, "Quit your job, sell your house, take your money, go to Vegas." Again, I ignored the little voice, though I was troubled by the event. 

Every day, day after day, I heard the same little voice when I got home from work, "Quit your job, sell your house, take your money, go to Vegas." Each time I heard the little voice, it made me upset. Finally, after two weeks, I gave into the pressure. 

At this point in time, I hated my job and my wife had just left me. Life pretty much sucked and I needed a change. So I quit his job. I put my house on the market and it sold shortly thereafter for $150,000.00. I took the money and headed to Vegas. 

The moment I got off the plane in Vegas, the little voice spoke to me again. It said, "Go to Harrah's." So, I hopped in a cab and rushed over to Harrah's. 

As soon as I set foot in the casino, the little voice told me, "Go to the high-roller roulette table." I did as I was told. When I got to the roulette table, the little voice told me, "Put all of your money on 17." 

Nervously, I exchanged the entire $150,000.00 for chips and then put it all on 17. 

The dealer wished me good luck and spun the roulette wheel. Around and around the ball caromed. I anxiously watched the ball as it slowly lost speed until finally it settled into number... 21. 

The little voice said, "Damn..."

one time when i was in college i put about 6-7 grand on one game (NFL playoffs).  i wont say which game bc it is embarrassing

i was already down 5 grand, and i wanted to end up ahead so i went big.

the way i got this bet in... i was helping a bookie run a book by getting him clients.  i had a few but i would mostly just bet on their accounts to increase my bets.

in the end i was putting up to a grand on each account and even had a couple fake accounts going.  i had bet the teams spread, moneyline and everything.

i ended up paying off the bookie... took me about a year and a cpl months making payments once every two weeks.



didnt kill myself so i guess it was a success!  lol

I thought of this idea today and thought it was genius - pasted from other post.

I can't believe that I've never heard of this idea from anyone.  I am headed to Vegas later this year have been trying to figure out how to make sure my money lasts....

Background - You know the drill.  You head to Vegas with X amount of money (call it $3K) and you want to make sure it lasts the trip.  You get drunk the first night and tear through your cash. Then you're miserable and either bum around or do a CC advance, etc.  BUT NOT MORE!!  I have the solution.

I will use my trip as an example and say I am going to take $3K.  I get there on a Friday.  The first thing I'm going to do is head to the sports book and find a game (any sport) that will settle on Sat around noon.  I will then bet $1K on one side of the game (and yea, you guessed it), $1K on the other side.  For $50, I can protect $2K for the night and collect my money that following day after I sleep off Friday night.

You think that's expensive??  Consider how many times you have doubled/tripled a bet (when drunk), dropped $25 on the roulette table, etc., etc., etc....  Now how expensive does $50 sound?  That's just one stupid mistake that YOU WILL MAKE that night.

I would be very interested to hear if someone knows of any low juice books or no juice specials that I could use for this GENIUS strategy.

Would also like to hear if someone else has a better idea of suggestions.

I was there a couple of weeks ago and I saw some guy dump about 20k on the BJ table.
We were all sitting at a $25 table and playing 1-2 chips. He was too. The dealer was busting and everyone was making a little money. Well, I think the guy was on a Martingale system, as the dealer got really hot. The guy starts pressing up his bets and before you know it, he has 2k on a hand. He loses that and has to call for another marker. Loses again and he is up betting the table limit of 5k.  He gets Aces! 
Can you see where this is going?
He looks at the table and says, I have to split them, right?
 I just could not make a peep but the dealer agrees with him. He is short though and calls the pit man over. After a 15 minute delay, they say, he has reached his limit on markers and they cannot extend him any more credit. He tells the table he will have to go to the CC/ATM for the rest of the money and call a friend. This is like a train wreck. I got nowhere to go and nothing to do and shi t this is free entertainment, so he asks if we mind if he tries to round up the money. I say sure go ahead and order another Bud Light Lime. The guy disappears for an eternity and we are just waiting. With the marker shi t this has been going on for about 30 minutes now, I am drinking free beer and happy.  The other people at the table are a little PO'd and I cannot blame them.

I am starting to think that he will never be back and here he comes. He has the money ( and some of it is in 5's and 10's totally crazy, I think he was giving BJ's in the bathroom or something) It takes 2 more minutes to count it all up, get his chips and split the Aces.  I cannot remember exactly but I do think the dealer had a bust card up?

But from here, it took about 3 seconds. A7-A8 ( for 18 and 19) not too bad but not perfect and then it comes to me at third base. I have a hit hand and I ask him what to do ( I got $25 out there and he has 10k) he says hit it, I do and cannot even remember if I won or lost. Dealer flips his hole card and has 11- the Monkey gives him 21 and she scoops up this guys chips in about 1 second, all gone. Incredible! Guy does not say a sound and walks off into the Vegas night. 

The dealer is a little old lady about 65, I would guess. I ask her " you ever see anything like that before?" she just smiles and says- "everyday, everyday"

On the other side, I always stop by the craps table on the way out of town. So many times, I will get a hot streak and have to go running for my plane

I am curious why this is archive material for stupidity?  How many stories about Vegas have you read that said..."I wish I hadn't"  "I shouldn't have...", etc. etc.  With my idea, those things don't happen.  Rather than making a terse statement with no support then please provide some reasoning.  

I will bet that if you went to people that dumped $100's or $1,000's when drunk and told them that you could have protected themselves from themselves for $25 for $2,000, they would be like..."Crap - I wish I had done that."  I will also bet that if they could go back in time they would do it.

You might have the willpower to not do it and so you think it doesn't make sense.  That's like a person who doesn't really drink much saying it's stupid for an alcoholic not to be able to have a few drinks.  Some people make poor decisions when they are drinking and I am simply offering up a way to protect themselves.  It's like giving your keys to your friends if you are prone to drink and drive.  It's a smart decision to pre-plan.

Wow...you must be a freakn psychologist!  You should take your forward thinking psychological genius and write a book!  No one ever does something they regret and everyone always plans everything they do, especially when they have been drinking...oh no...wait...that's right...IT'S THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF THAT MORON!

If people would make better planning decisions when they are sober and rational, they can protect themselves from potentially bad decisions when they are drunk.  I'm sorry that common sense is lost on you but I'm sure you can buy some with the royalties of your new book "Eezy psichologicy fo peeps and speling guide to"  Let me know when the checks start rolling in from Simon & Schuster -  (by da wa...de uh publish books - dat meen dey print dem)

Why would being drunk at work correlate to being drunk in Vegas? I just go to Vegas to get drunk, get ridiculous and have a debaucherous time.  When I'm at work, I work.

When I made a bet the result was to MAKE money.LasVegas is the LAST place on earth to have any kind of disregard of the value of your bankroll. Betting is something you do with the same clarity that you would do for employment like screw a widget,write a commercial, or flip a cheeseburger. If you want ridiculous, why delay until Saturday? Stupid is stupid Friday night or Sunday morning am because you're admitting money doesn't mean any thing to the debaucherous.

No.  That's not at all what I'm saying.  I'm saying that I bring money to Vegas that I can afford to lose and I want to have a good time along the way.  If I get wasted the first night and blow all my money then I can't eat at a nice restaurant, get party supplies, get girls, etc. the next night.  I want my money to last the entire trip.  The money does mean something.  It means having a good time.  If I lose and have a good time...then I used the money for a good time throughout my trip.  If I win and have a good time then bonus.

The best time of Vegas is the experience and to have a fun experience, you need money.  I'm just trying to make sure the money lasts.  That's all.  

I'm not saying this from a pure sports betting perspective.  I'm saying this from a gambling and partying perspective.  I don't get drunk and bet rampant on sports b/c that's not fun.  I get crazy in Vegas because it's fun.

I was obviously talking about non sports gambling.  Sports gambling is a different animal.

That garbage was crazy. Just turned my $1000 into $2750 on one deal. From here, I started playing big. Playing hands of $200 each to $500 each, on a $3 table...haha. The table was full now and everybody on the table was asking me how they should play there hand cause they didnt want to screw me up since I was playing so big. It was funny cause I felt like a baller and was giving the waitress a $5 tip everytime she brought me another ddrink. I was tipping the dealer $25-$50 on the hands I won big on. By the time I had to leave, I was up a little over $4000. I gave the dealer another $100 and threw $25 to everybody on the table since they kind of helped me win more by playing by the book. That garbage was crazy, I just turned $100 into about $4000 in 4 hours... I actually won more but I probably gave about $500 to the dealers and tipped about $150 between the players at the table and the waitress...

Left Vegas down about $500, but that last night is a gambling memory I will never forget. That garbage was CRAZY!!!

 


Anyone else see how this doesn't add up? Down to last $100, run up to $1000, all in on 2 hands but still pull $500 out of thin air to double down?
