BOL Bodio. Im a verlander lover, but I was leaning the same way today. Towards the tribe. Verlander has been remarkable and super tough at home but Cleveland always seems to play us tough. Im really curious to read your write up. Lets break the bank today....

gl buddy...what are your thoughts on the Yanks tonight? Andarmac has a great writeup on them...good "buy low" price against an overrated pitcher that should regress soon in Ogando...

The pitching disparity is 'huge' in this one. Garcia has a 2.6 FIP and 3.0 xFIP (top 20) with a sick 2.7 tERA (#11). Maya has a 4.16 FIP and a 4.59 xFIP (one of the worst) with a ridiculously high 5.2 tERA. (#177). The guy is not a very good pitcher and even though he held a Giants lineup in 'check' last time out, he's going to have trouble against the 3rd best hitting club in the league (#3 wOBA). I like the Cards to get to Maya and his sub 88 mph fastball in this one, as Garcia should be able to control this Nats lineup which is 2nd worst in OBP against left-handed pitching. St Louis is 11-5 against the Nats in the last 16 and I like the fact that this is Washington's 1st home game after a 11 game roadie (they had to travel all the way from San Diego for this one while Cards' travel was half as long (from Milwaukee)).
